The new Model 3 Performance Highland is a bit faster and can keep acceleration at higher speeds so it would do even better on this race. Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, etc, etc, they all might be faster, but by almost nothing while the price tag is what defines the real winner: the Tesla at around $45,000 while the exotic cars price is 5 tom10 times more. And if Tesla wants to show off, just bring a Model S Plaid, which, for about $95,000 can beat about 99% of exotic cars on a drag race, but also can present a real opponent against them on the track. Tesla is winning big time.

In USA you get a faster )Panasonic Battery) model 3 performance highland.. the rest of the world is stuck with the LG battery so i think the improvement is minimal or id have bought one. I couldn’t feel ANY difference when i test drove one. If it was the US spec one i would have bought it and upgraded from the old Model3performance in this video. Also its £60k in the UK so we pay more also

On the previous 5 runs the Telsa beat the Ferrari’s time… when the official at santapod lined us up.. the ferrari got his launch right and tbh it did go by quite fast over the line. Over 1/2 mile i would have been toast… but 4/5 times down the 1/4 mile the Baby Tesla beat the £250k+ Supercar

The draggy times from Australia show it is faster than the old one but slightly slower than the Panasonic one. For me, this isn't a bit issue. When you floor it the difference of 0.1/0.2s is irrelevant. I'm extremely happy with mine! Just need to get it back from getting full Stealth PPF. The wait is killing me!

@@mikaelvellmun7228 obviously as it is the new one it wont be exactly the same 😂 but PERFORMANCE wise.. in the UK, Europe and Asia the acceleration feels exactly the same as the old one. We have been short changed on the LG battery, in USA with the Panasonic battery there seems to be a big step in power. We noticed no difference in performance at all but be interesting to see the 1/4 mile times. My 1/4 mile times are on the channel if you look back. I would expect this new model to be very close to those times with this battery set up this neck of the woods. My explanation on the video was simplified for Max, it is not a detailed technical video.

@@alexdebono4087 Hardly.. all i did was sit down and press the accelerator, I have had many battles with manual fwd, duel clutch rear drive higher powered cars down pod, even flick the boost up mid gear, the Tesla just did the lot for me. Not quite the same experience but an amazing piece of tech that writes off my business costs hahaha

On my 2019 Model 3P+ I did replace those heavy 20 inch anchors with 18 inch light wheels .I have removed the seats and with 93 % battery I did 11.4s - 119 mph. A/C and headlights were on . Should have turned them off to shave maybe 0.1 sec.

I had about 80% as the chargers were not that close to santapod. My wheels are catastrophically heavy, it was slightly into wind and i had full interior. Im only 11 stone so that helped. 119 is an insane trap speed

@@ClubMax2019 No, just hold the brake with left foot then release it and press the accelerator with your right foot. It is like launching manual car. :) I use it on the street too, much better response and feels natural. Also using your brakes will help them last longer (calipers) and you do not need to service clean lubricate them every year. One pedal driving is the reason for this, especially for people that live in wet, and cold climates.
