I have since switch them out. The main issue is my kayak only trolls at about 2.5 knots. With line stretch and pole flex, it takes a hard hit for the hook to set

Which color and dive depth is that Rapala? I've trolled Rapalas from the 15 to the 30 foot (blue and pink) and caught every fish under the sun, except Mahi. Cheers

Anywhere I can launch. It is all swell and wind dependent. Kayak fishing in Guam is great. You should get one.

Do you have a motor on your PA? I didn’t think that a PA with just the mirage drive would be fast enough to troll a deep diving lipped lure effectively.

Pure pedal power. I can usually do 2-3 knots sustained depending on current and wind. The big lips really help in getting it down. I can sure feel the resistance though especially at the end of a long day.

@@inpursuit2279 Oh cool. I was going to get one of them Nomad deep divers, but thought I would need to go 5 knots sustained or faster for it to work well. I guess I’ll get one and try it out. I have a Revo 13. Thanks for replying!
