In the exterior, with this facelift they basically have tranformed the worst looking golf ever in a beautiful car. The absence of the manual and the interior are both problem, though.

Why not have a 7/7.5 GTI performance / TCR / R / CS front brake callipers with GTI LOGO ?Fitted this on my MK8 GTI , since they share same size disc 340mm .

I wish they would have added actual buttons on the R steering wheel as they did the GTI 8.5. But they did make The capacitive buttons less sensitive in the 8.5R, so less accidental pushes. Perfect daily drivers... But so $$$

The back end looks like a small SUV and the new badge looks cheap tbh. They need to refresh this. No digital gauge gimmickry or polished plastic interior trims would be nice. Or maybe I'm just too old lol.

So how do you correct open throttle surge (ie turbo is too spooled for motor at a lower rpm)?? It's not to fix the turbo lol you definitely need a valve somewhere to correct it 🤔

Having had a complete PoS of a MK8 R, they have done nothing to improve the car. Same cheap plastics, and the infotainment system is just as useless as it always was. Just avoid this car and save yourself hours of phone calls and driving to the dealers for countless, never ending niggles or faults.

@@marcosvaldes8910 Marco, the roof is not a big deal. I love the mid engine platform. That’s why I bought one and traded my 992. After I put it up and down twice it was a piece of cake. It only takes me 15 or 20 seconds to do it no big deal. It’s a true Sportscar, very well and handles like a dream way better than my 992.

40 RA was found 6 months after it was stolen, upside down in a canal in the Midlands! All been confirmed by the owner of the car, who recently bought another Lotus Carlton and put the 40 RA plate back on that LC.

Getting lighter wheels, tires, and brakes actually also gives you more wheel horsepower. Think of it like moving your arm around in a circle fast. If you add a bunch of hula hoops to your arm, you will move it around slower due to added weight. Same concept. I remember I purchased a car a while back that had beautiful after market replica wheels and I decided to change them to the original wheels and I'm glad I did! My 0-60 mph I'm proved by over 1 second and my 0-100 mph improved by over 2 seconds!
