He was at the Fillmore … we were at the Stadium.
This was cool I can't wait to get the package . One day I want to be awesome like this
Thanks! What package?
Pretty cool. And it looks like Bamba transitioned from a hardcore Roger fan into a diehard Syd fan :) Tell him Stray Dog from Roger's Forum says Hi
I'll do that! That was a nice interaction that evening.
Hi forrest ….thank you , it’s a long time ago
@@gabadoli Yeah, about a week or something, at least :)
Beautiful Composition!
Thank you very much ! I think overlaying different motifs (liquids, wheels, structures and images) is great.
It's too bad that the video doesn't match the audio. It's too bad that there isn't more video. But I'm grateful for this snippet.
I was at this show, had up front seating on the left of the theater. Rod Stewart was positioned on that side if the stage, almost isolated. I remember watching him the whole set, mostly because he was singing, and directly in front of me. Yeah, tickets at the Fillmore East were $3 - about what I could afford as a 17 year old kid. I remember the stage having a weird empty feeling (compared to the many other shows I saw there).
sweet job
so very cool
Far out
Just find out what some the the tool art called is hepful
cool
love this
nice job I would like to know more about how you did this
Thank you very much ! I thought the whole thing speaks for itself. the only thing I can add is the following. you have to open the Lazy Suzan and remove all the balls and clean the bearing and the balls. There are always metal shavings in the bearing that prevent it from running smoothly. The dirt is graphite to keep the bearing running smoothly.
Thank you I did not realize it was a Lazy Suzan That is helpful and gives me a direction to experiment in@@phoenixretrolight3460
nice job
Thank you !!
real neat man
Super rare glimpses of the legendary psychedelic pied pipers . Goodbye Paul Kantnor and thanks !
5:39 Birds help him fight a giant ANACONDA?! He's ANIMAL-MAN!
The background reminds me of the psychedelic light show behind the 60's rock groups at San Francisco's Fillmore auditorium. Love the singing birds instead of the usual cherubs.
You are right ! Visit my homepage, read the text under Home and watch the movies of our events. Have fun ! phoenix-retro-light.jimdofree.com
wow amazing! It is kind of getting me into a trance-like state
Understandable, Mozart's music has this effect
Meraviglioso ! 😍

This makes me feel an emotion that doesn't exisr
Jeff Beck with rod Stewart on vocals
This is only the second live footage of the Jeff Beck Group . Great video.
You sure took up the PsyKa illumination baton and ran with it :) phoenix retro light looks a great show.
Thank you very much Keith !!
That was the same tour he played the Boston Tea Party
It seems to me the music is not in sink with the video ... At all.If even the same song . And the audio is painfull. But. Very cool still
why play a song that has nothing to do with the video?
Been listening to Jeff Beck for decades...love his guitar playing.. I've seen him 5times live..never seen this before .. brilliant thank you for posting.🎸R.I.P jeff
His solo at the end here is really something. I did not know Jeff was already getting these sounds from his guitar and amps as early as '69. His guitar playing soars. Saw him for the first time at Gaelic Park in the Bronx, Aug of '72, and I knew. I knew I had never heard anyone play anything like this. And it is true, as displayed here, you really had to see Jeff Beck play live to get the full measure of his genius talents. Can't believe he's gone. Can't believe it.
I was at the Gaelic Proark show too, amazing show ...... I thought the crowd was going to tear the place apart when Jeff's arrival was delayed due to a traffic accident....... Jeff, Tim Bogert, Carmine Apice and a singer named Kim Milford...... the crowd went absolutely Nutz, I remember that after that show my wife and I became instant fans and we saw almost every show after that whenever Jeff came to America, I would attend at least one show per tour ......... I'm still shaken to the core as a result of his death and I will forever be greatful to have seen him in action. R.I.P. Sir Jeff !!!!
@@johnzane4610 It wound up being a good thing for us that Beck was late in getting there, because my older brothers friend wound up ingesting some bad hallucinogen he'd bought there and wound up at Beth Israel. They released him with us and we hurried back to the concert really just as Beck and Co were taking the stage. I think that was the first occasion of him playing with Bogart and Appice. I seem to recall he played a white Strat and at one point set it down in front of him and proceeded to get some otherwordly sounds from it. Didn't care too much for the singer. Did get to see Argent and I think another band called Flash if I recall correctly. Beck was doing things with his guitar and getting sounds that I hadn't heard on any of his records. I was 16 at the time. Told all of my friends about it and like you began to look for every opportunity to see him play. At that time he had a big impact on my life and I have to be thankful to him for that. As I said, really can't believe he's gone. thanks for sharing your story.
Cool sound. The video doesn`t match but we get what we can now........
facebook.com/100031854267178/videos/632852194070049/ here is the right video
However this is not the right video for the song being played? Where is Rod Stewart, Mickey Waller and Ron Wood. Shape of Things was only recorded by this line up and they are not on the video?
Fantastic song by the Who .
The light show doesn't line up with the music. Joshua must be pissed. You can't believe ANYTHING you see in this 'modern age' of internet. If the hippies lie, are they still hippies? or just old boomers afraid to die?
I saw Jeff Beck/Rod Stewart at the Fillmore 69/70? with Jethro Tull doing the set before and the crowd was angry that Tull had to go, a fantastic performance(their second at the Fillmore), then Beck started playing and they topped Tull
Does anybody know why he walked off stage after two songs?
The JBG was imploding. Rod & Woody were stealing eggs in NYC just to eat. Even the roadies ate better than the rest of the band. Peter *(Pumpkin Eater) Grant was a 'Huge' business end rip~off. They were completely slated to play '69 Woodstock, and backed out. Jeff wasn't the easiest to get along with in those days, and was notoriously unstable. There were some unfounded rumors that Jeff's wife was shagging around while he was on tour, but it was never confirmed, and the marriage finally did end in a divorce. ` I seen them on the same '68 & '69 tours, only at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit, and although they played remarkable, i always had the feeling that the show could abruptly end premature for some reason. If Jeff walked~off in Detroit, like he did at the Fillmore East, i think he would have got his ass kicked~haha. Anyway, like someone mentioned here, even though i witnessed Beck in all of his creations, i would have to say Hands Down, this was my favorite period of Jeff's long & illustrious career. A side note here, supposedly sometime during the 1969 USA tour, Jeff's Les Paul was stolen in Detroit, although some claim it was NYC, which could add fire to an already aggressive & pissed~off Mr. Beck~()~La? Many m()()ns ago, I do remember reading that an interviewer asked Jeff what was his favorite city to play in, and Beck said..."New York City has the best audiences". *God Speed Jeff in a Souped~up Ford Coupe.
@@dennymcfastlane8530 the rumors about his wife were when he was on tour in the US with the Yardbirds. They were unfounded.
@@davidratcliffe1 Long time ago David, thanks for jogging my memory. But i guess it still didn't take much to upset Jeff back then. What do you expect from a extremely gifted temperamental artist like Beck. Also, another reason for the JBG not to play '69 Woodstock was that they were slated to go on after the 'HOT' Sly Stone & the Family Stone.
where si rod , and Ron ?
still love it!!
My first album I bought was Truth I saw him 3 times in Toronto King of the Strat! 🎸🇨🇦🎼
I was at one of Bill Grahams, the Filmore or Winterland, when Jeff Beck Group was fronted by Rod Stewart who came out looking like 2023 drag style... pink negligee open front top and tight pants, puffed up blond hair... singing Rock Me Baby. I swear this felt like Rod stole the show, and the fashion was just freaking me out.
Change playback speed to 1.25 for a more accurate performance.
Hard to believe Jeff Beck was ever this shitty.
Flabbergasting guitar playing...blues turning into metal, almost like Coltrane at times. None like him.
Unfortunately....no sync footage....oh well, better than nothing...I guess.
Jeff was probably the best in the sixties great wave of british guitar players, but never found a straight focus like Clapton and Page so mass success eluded him. Anyway, an historic figure on par with Hendrix at the top of guitar pantheon.
Yes.
Focus was his problem- he had too much of a free spirit and he just wanted to have fun… imagine if he had the drive to write songs and work on developing his voice - cuz he had a good voice

Fascinating film, but rotten synch. Rod's vocal is way off key, but this underlines the problems singers in particular had in the days before onstage monitor speakers were properly refined or even present at all. But all that considered, it must have been great to be there.
Thank goodness we had him for as long as we did!
I still feel pretty damn cheated. The man lived a healthy lifestyle. 😢
Thank you Jesus ❤
@@melodymakermark How could You feel cheated after almost 60 years of treasured music & tours.
@Denny, because my hero just wasn’t supposed to die. He just wasn’t. I saw him last in 2019 and I was looking forward to 2029. I hear you though. What a run he had.
