my xp600 print head new only printed 3 months now its not printing anymore ,head is not clogged in any way ,when doing an flush it doesn't spurt ink out of head and not making the ticking sound while spurting. head is not damaged in any way what went wrong on head so that i can fix it.

A lot of people give opinions about cleaning fluids, without actually having any experience on using it themselves. Like isopropyl alcohol, I hear a lot of people saying it is bad and will damage it more. Well, if your epson printer have stubborn dried pigment ink stuck to the printhead, it means you need to replace or toss it. So, you take your chances if you can still revive it and not worry if you will destroy it. I started with glass cleaner, simple green, mix alcohol, ultrasonic and nothing worked. Guess what, I used the same technique but injecting alcohol while installed in the printer with paper towel underneath to soak and injecting each nozzle every 10-15 minutes. After an hour, it looked like it worked! I printed about 40 sheets of multi colored picture full sheets setting at highest ink dispensing setting like premium matte and quality was back. The next on my list is doing the same with 99% iso alcohol (instead of 70%), then Acetone, while looking at the cost of replacement head.

Hi! How long did you let the printhead to dry before test printing? I did what you did before but the only difference was the carriage was on top of of the capping (i did not use paper towel). After doing so, i turned on the printer. It automatically started head cleaning but unfortunately it turned off and never turned on again. I guess the head had a short ciracuit.

I'm sorry to hear that. You need to make sure the ribbon wire on the front side with plastic cover did not get wet. There's also a ribbon wire on the side. I cannot remember how long before I loaded the cartridge back to test it but unless the alcohol splashes all over, it should not hurt the printhead at all. Plus alcohol dries up quickly. I soaked an Iphone board up long ago on 99% alcohol, dried it, and did not damage any circuit at all. Alcohol should not damage plastic. Additional Tip, Alcohol may ruin the ribbon cable and make the contract separate from the ribbon. superglue can fix it to attached back to the ribbon, just make sure you clean or scrape superglue that went to the contact, scripto knife and magnifying glass helps.
