You did a wonderful job! This reminds me of my Mum who was a maker of stuffed toys and cloth dolls. She passed many years ago but her creations are still found in little corners of bookcases and such.

Hi Rachel. Are you going to be able to see Jenny Doan’s Trunk Show, she is an amazing person and her story is very heart warming. I was at a quilt retreat there two weeks ago and had a great time. I did pretty good resisting temptation to spend too much money. I’m just waiting for my box of goodies to arrive. I’ll be visiting the UK in Oct and I’m looking forward to visiting a couple of quilt shops for some Liberty and Tilda fabrics.

Looking lovely Rachel a little tip for making easier straps for the apron have your strip with the end making a w with the fabric pattern facing up then sew across the end right side up and now turn to make end neat it will fold over now and you can sew straight down so you incase the raw ends

There are wrist braces made for carpal tunnel that hold your hand in a neutral position. I sleep in mine so my wrist isn’t in a strained position all night long. Also, Sew Tites has a plastic palette with magnets that hold the EPP pieces. It’s made for flat back stitching though.

When I learned quilting in 1976, hand sewn was supposedly the only “legitimate” way. Well, the curved fan pieces repeatedly never matched up and so I ended up never finishing it out of frustration. Now we have rotary cutters and rulers and it’s amazing! And now long arm and free motion quilting! I’ve adjusted to that change by realizing quilts are being made that otherwise never would have been.

Hi Rachel, I just found and suscribed to your channel recently and am working my way through all your videos chronologically (as well as watching all the new ones as they come up). I love all that you do and find you very inspiring! I really loved the idea of the worn and washed fabrics but can't seem to find Kim Porter anywhere now - no activity on her Instagram for a while etc. Do you happen to know anyone else who does this kind of thing? Many thanks in advance! 🪡😻
