  No matter what i cant get this game to work on steam deck. The videos will go blank or stay on no signal. Tried updating GEProton, running in desktop mode, nothing works. If it works for a few minutes itll just be broken by the next segment.

  Nice! Steam deck is shipping and i bought this to play on it. Seems i can achieve 40fps lovked with low or no shadows hopefully

  FINALLY! Some damb overlay stats on this game! 20W-26W for 720p "mid" settings is RLY bad. The game is in dire need of some optimization. Think I'll permanently pass on this one If I can play Sekiro at max settings with a solid 60 and only pull 17W-18W, there's no reason a game like this should be significantly more demanding than a AAA

  Change the game to windowed mode and then set the Ingame screen setting to full and that will make the screen a lot bigger

  I redownload the game and I was able to get it to boot fine. There may be a problem with your download. I would suggest redownloading it if you still have issues try using ProtonUp-QT to install GE-Proton9-4 and use that

  So the prolog for a SIDE-SCROLLING BEAT EM UP is over 10 minutes long and during that time you take away control of the player 10s of times. That's wack af lmao

  I done some further testing on this game and once you reach Paris. The FPS goes haywire and start plummeting. fps drops are frequent and seem to be a problem with the PC port of this game it self. As I observed the same behaviour on a more vastly more powerful pc. No matter what you change the settings to it won't improve the performance.

  Oh OK ill add that to the overlay in future videos. I redownload this game and checked it for you in the main area it draws 16w to 16.5w but in dungeons it sits around 14w

  I’d like to just mention that the optimal settings I’ve found 720p prob for the best but I also have done 900p Quality Render 100% FSR 2.2.1 Balanced (Or Performance) RT Off (obv) -- Effects Low Shadows Low Anti Alias Max (or Med) Post Processing Low Texture Quality Max Ambient Occlusion Low Screen Reflections Low -- FPS Cap 30 (or 60 on performance) Motion Blur Off Rear Mirror Off (I have VSync on ur choice) And then the game runs alright and looks far better, I don’t know what’s wrong with FSRs implementation, but Anti Alias on fixes how much it’s destroyed FSR acts like a DR scaler more then anything Also the game is ok, reminds me of Flatout so it’s not bad, not really optimized but fun, story is awful tho lol

  hi man... why cant i see GE-Proton 6.21-GE-2 in the protonup qt... all i see is version 7,8 and 9 series :/

  Yeah I just checked They seem to have removed the older versions. It took a little while but I worked out how get it. The only way to get it to work is to manually install the correct version of proton. Go to this link: github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/6.21-GE-2. Download the file Proton-6.21-GE-2.tar.gz on you steam deck. Then extract the file. You should end up with a folder called Proton-6.21-GE-2. You then need to copy this folder to the following location. Home/.steam/root/compatibilitytools.d. The .steam folder will be hidden. You can make it show by pressing the little hamburger menu on the right hand side of dolphin and selecting the option show hidden files. Once its copied just boot back into game mode and change the games proton version to the correct one. Hope that helps.

  I created a basic config and shared it on the community layouts tab. It should have all of the controls for camera movement bound. But you may have to bind more complicated actions your self later.

  Thats odd i redownloaded it and it worked straight away. Check the proton version is set to 8.0-5.

  There is two different ways. The first is recording on the steam deck it self using decky recorder. Some of my earliest videos are recorded using it. The down side to that method is that there is a slight performance hit. Also the quality is not the best. The second method is using a separate computer with a capture card. This gives you better quality recordings but the downside is that when you are recording the steam deck you can't use its screen. You have to output to a external screen. This is how all of my current videos are made. I would have a look at videos covering decky recorder the quality may be good enough for your purposes. Hope that helps

  I love these games. I played them since the original old port of EDF 2 on PSP. To now be able to play a full scale modern one on a portable is amazing. The last portable one was on the Vita so it been a while. But to answer you question.EDF 5 is great it takes the best parts of the old games and refines them.

Out of curiosity, do you ever see yourself doing voice-over reviews for the bundles from humble bundle? I personally would find that a review of a humble bundle for steam deck that was somewhat bite-sized for each game would be awesome.

  You would have to set it up mannualy in the controller editor in steam their are many tutorial online for how to use it to make your own control scheme. Hope that helps!

  It runs well at staying at 40fps most of the time (the limit the game sets). I had no issues using the trackpads on the steam deck. But using a mouse and keyboard may be easier when you have to enter text

  If you are talking about the controller settings, I just use the default. If I have to change it, I show it in the video. This game has full controller support. I'll see if in future videos I can quickly show the config I am using.

  Yes you can draw properly I just suck at it you either use the touch pads or the touch screen. Make sure your controller layout is set to Keyboard (WASD) and mouse.

  I was able to replicate your problem I found a solution turn vsync off. For some strange reason it locks the fps to 40.

  Sorry it took me a while to respond I had to re download it to check unfortunately it still won’t boot on the heroic launcher using proton GE. But great new the heroic launcher has a new option called WINE-GE-LOL which is a version of wine proton. The game boots successfully with the latest one. The there is a green bar at the bottom of the main menu and there is some performance problems. But it does boot now

  I know at first, I thought it was a steam deck issue but apparently some others have had the problem too. the game just hates certain screens and refuse to display the correct resolution on them. I still can't find a solution.

  I've bought this title on Nintendo switch and couldn't pass fire temple. Constant file corruption (only in the fire temple tho)I have pulled the trigger on a new SD and so want to finish this game! Have you passed fire temple yet without issues?

  I unfortunately did not play it for much longer past this point. But I did spend some time doing some research for you. The fire temple save bug affects the console versions. The pc version runs better but it still has its own problems and the devs are not a lot of help they are mostly silent regarding it. So to sum up the pc version is less buggy then the console versions but still buggy.

  Oh, ok thank you for looking into it. I've recently bought a new oled SD and unfortunately the switch will be collecting dust as I just find newer titles struggle on Switch😢. Still love the switch but it needs revising! Now I'm playing 100+ backlog games on steam 😂 thinking of double dipping on souldiers.
