Thoughtful criticism not trying to be rude. The only really big flaw I saw in this routine is everyone needs to work on their free arms. In my guard we call them dinosaur arms and they're a big No-No. Overall love the routine 😊

Another point of criticism they need to be more firm on some parts like more of a snap instead of a drag like at 0:13 they really need to snap it there instead of a drag.

Yo are allowed to practice in the band room? Even during winter season are the band director would wack us with flag poles if we were practice inside near the 'precious instruments"
@patiencejohnson78986 жыл бұрын
Gummy werms We have to move everything to side and make sure we don’t come close to hitting it. Are band director is pretty chill though lol.

I'm surprised they have such high ceilings, we can barely hold our poles upright without hitting the ceiling, and the rooms are pretty small too
@patiencejohnson78986 жыл бұрын
Shari The Firefly Are band room wasn’t originally part of the school. They build it onto the school with the stage and choir room about 15 years ago. The band room use to be in a typical small art room and we have had approximately 70 students in band a year so that room wouldn’t do, so they build a bigger one.

I'm a 8th grader wanting to be in Color-Guard next year, what should I practice to?
@patiencejohnson78986 жыл бұрын
Pastel BlueTurtle look up basics on KZread and there are some very useful things on there. Depending on if you’re in Marching season or Winter season will determine if you will march or not, also depending on the school you go to will depend what type of marching you do. So I can’t really help you with that. Sorry.

When holding a flag make sure too work on grip, make sure.the flag is tight and stiff your.movements will look crisp and clean. Also work on drop spins both sides, speed spins, both sides, simple tosses, and try to do 45a, parallels, and butt selves. Also don't be afraid to freestyle it will loosen up your mind so you are more familiar with the flag
