    Finally found a video that realistically shows how to hang a pegboard on the wall. Most of the other videos don't show the actual hanging, so your video helped a lot. Wish you would have shown the screws part. I don't have a handy man handy lol

    Gosh I needed this. If you saw my craft room right now you would think it was an episode of hoarders and I don't say that with ANY pride. It's very embarrassing. I have a lot of potential projects that consume the space. This is giving me ideas of how to tackle my problem. Thank you.

    What do you use to keep balloons in place on the ceiling?

  • @cansarahdiyit
    @cansarahdiyitАй бұрын

    That is a great question!! I use predominantly command hooks. The metal, moveable ones are best for ceilings!! They cause no damage and are very secure To attach them, I use a 260Q or long skinny balloon because it has stretch to tie to a center core of my garland and then to the hook, you can always use 2 tied together if you’re struggling to get it attached

    Oh gosh, I’m sorry you were disappointed in the video, I guess I’m trying new things and filming it hoping to help others have courage to try new things, but I definitely can improve, especially with filming, I am just using my phone and am far from a professional. I appreciate the feedback and I understand your frustration, I hope you’ll give me another chance in the future and maybe you will find it more informative.

    Is the knit stitch also called the garter stitch? It’s the only stitch I know. I can cast on using the long tail. So I guess I’m ready for your second level. Many scarves and ponchos can be made knowing just this one stitch. Thank you!

  • @cansarahdiyit

    This is a great question!! When you are knitting flat, and using only the knit stitch, the fabric is called garter. In my second lesson I will teach you how to purl and discuss how to achieve stockinette stitch and ribbing!!

    It's the same here in Australia for trying to get Jesmonite. It's non existent here. Currently im trying one that seems equivalent. However i cant actually compare as i cant get Jesmonite. Other ones that are Australian made but very expensive.

    Thank you for sharing what I can only imagine was a really scary moment. Your strength to regroup and continue with the project after reflecting on what you learnt from the experience is admirable. It gives me the courage to give larger power tools like this a go, even though I'm scared. Here's a little thought I had to make one of the steps a little easier. When you were cutting the wallpaper down to size for the individual drawer fronts, I noticed it shifted a little with the first cut. This happens often in sewing when cutting fabric with a rotary cutter. To minimise this tailors will use some form of stabilisation method. A few ideas I had were pattern weight on top (or just heavier items), temporary adhesion to the drawer fronts with a few tacks of residue free removable double sided tape, or clamping a section down to the furniture piece.

  • @cansarahdiyit
    @cansarahdiyit6 ай бұрын

    I love this idea!! I definitely struggled with that part!! The other thing I would change was adding way more glue, I have had to add a couple more Brad nails on spots that have lifted!!

    @@cansarahdiyit The science fluid/solid bit... Normally the kids in school do it with cornstarch and water, if you come at it fast, it acts as a solid, but then you jiggle it and it flows like water. Your Eco Resin was doing that at one point and you were trying to come up with what it's called :) Right around 7:48

  • @thejoneslounge

    How do you clean your eco resin or Jesmonite tools?

  • @cansarahdiyit
    @cansarahdiyit7 ай бұрын

    So far I have just soaked them in water and then rub them with my fingers, I haven’t had any issues, I think if you were to leave them sitting out for a while it might be an issue but Eco resin is water soluble so you should be able to clean everything If you use silicone cups and tools it’s a lot easier!! The tools I used in this video were from the dollar tree kitchen department!!!
