This guy really hasn’t a clue. Can’t get last year’s score v France correct even though it’s all over the internet. Doesn’t know the difference between red card and yellow cards. And doesn’t know the difference between the triple crown and the grand slam .
@armchairrugger3 ай бұрын
Thanks for your insight. I’m really trying. This is my first time doing this. And I know I didn’t mention both the Grand Slam and triple crown and that the yellows ended up into a red. I forgot those. I do understand, I just forgot. Again, just trying things out. A work in progress

This upload is s bit Weird. It's the Grand Slam you should be focusing on. The Triple Crown is a competition within the 6 nations. Like the Calcutta Cup between Scotland and England.
@armchairrugger3 ай бұрын
Ya multiple people have said that and I realized that after I finished that I should have spent more time in that.
@LeinsterExile3 ай бұрын
@@armchairrugger Sorry if I seen like I'm moaning, at least you put the effort into the upload, which is more than I did😂. I'm sure you all ready know that the 6N is an annual thing. You can win the championship without beating everyone but a Grand Slam is more difficult, you have to win every game. To win is back to back has never been done before. Ireland can do it but its by no means certain. If all the ducks align for either Scotland or England they can spoil the party for Ireland. You should do an upload on how unlucky Italy have been.

Really enjoyed the angle of your analysis; Nobody else has compared us 23 v 24. We are better and we seem to have put the Sexton ghost to rest .. by developing our 'total football' ethos. But France are off and everyone else is rebuilding and Ireland will not know how good they are until they are really tested ... hopefully by SA later in the year. That said, I don't think it is arrogant to say that this is our Grand Slam to lose. If Crowley is untested, then take a look at Prendergast, upcoming U-20 No 10, Coolness, Smartness andkicking out of hand, Wow!

Ireland 2023 vs France was a far better performance than this year. France really should be looking at the wooden spoon bar some terrible refereeing. France 2023 were reigning Grand Slam champs and had the worlds best player in my opinion. They look like a shell of the team pre RWC. Duponts absence is killing them where as Crowley has slotted in nicely for Sexton. Mack Hansen is also a big miss for Ireland this year, despite a classy replacement he just doesnt look as potent on the wing. As for Italy, its getting harder this season for the dam to crumble as it has always done. Nothing more than expected in either year regards Irelands wins.

Ireland are currently on a 10 game streak in the 6N last loss was 30-24 to France in Paris in 2022...In game wk2 since that loss we've beat Itl 57-6, Eng 15-32, Scot 26-5 (2022 6N) then the GS in 2023 and Fra 17-38, Itl 36-0 in 2024

I think you're giving Gatland far too much credit. In the first half the Welsh pretty much played (badly) the kind of rugby Gatland has always had them play in his previous tenure there. It was only when they completely abandoned his style and went out and played with the freedom of team that had nothing to lose that it all came good. Not sure you can put that at his feet. Russell is a talented (if mercurial) player, but if he can't get his team to do as instructed, (as per his own admission) it does not indicate that he's a good Captain. Oh and just for your future reviews, for our French brethren, and because you're right he is likely to feature high on the try scoring charts, Penaud is pronounced Pen-Oh 😊

Maybe the Welsh lads ignored Gatland and decided to play their own game, but I agree it was the game of the round. I guess the second round will give us all a better understanding of where all the teams stand. I thought Italy played a great game and England got off to a good start too. The Ireland vs France game was not what I expected. I thought Ireland would push France but I didn't expect that result.
