I own both phones and use them daily. Both are great. I do think Oxygen (as it relates to the Open) can make some improvements to their os. Like you said, multi-tasking can be better, creating app pairs without having to turn on automatically add new apps to desktop, let widgets stretch across the foldable screen, Stack widgets, etc. But again, I love both phones, and I don't think I could actually choose one over the other.

Nothing tbh. I just got up one day and the screen w a gone. Couldn't find a reason. However, they did repair it quickly under warranty.

I have the same problem. I bought it at the end of November 2023 and this week I noticed a black spot and the next day I opened my phone and there was a black thick line in the middle of my screen. It 's cracked inside. I contacted them and tomorrow I'm going to sent it back with ups to there lab. Has yours been repaired? Did you have to pay for the reparations

I believe it's because of privacy. So, they actually tell you before you send it in to reset your phone. I assume it's because they'd wanna test the phone properly after the repair, and you wouldn't go through all your stuff while testing the device, would you? So I just backed up my phone and restored it when I got it back.

Haha, I appreciate your feedback... I suppose using it may change your opinion as it relates to which would be your primary. Mind you, if you're already in the Apple Ecosystem it's gonna be difficult to exit. I wasn't, for the most part I've never depended on native apple products or apps, so it's easy for me to use both platforms.

OnePlus Open has action shot. You just have to toggle it on if you're about to shoot animals and stuff. It works rather well. My iPhone friends are really jealous of the phones camera and multitasking and the way it unfoldd with barely any crease. It can handle a lot of water splashing and I've seen on videos where it dropped from a moving bike ride and another where it accidentally dropped from 1000 ft in the air from a drone into a swimming pool with no cases and no problems... It's a beast. iPhones would've shattered like eggs . Keep it... You're much better off with it.

Haha. I appreciate your comment. I've tried the action shot, it's not bad but I do think there's a bit that can be improved with it. As it relates to the durability, I'm glad to hear it can survive that kinda drop, wouldn't wanna find out first hand though 😅. I truly believe this is a better overall device than the iPhone. I'm actually curious to see if Apple will drop an Apple foldable in the near future that actually implements Multitasking. It'll probably cost an arm and kidney but still wanna see what it would be like.

Hey, thanks for your comment. The seal was infact there, I suppose the angle it was cut at.. As for the empty box, I checked a few other folks who would've purchased one and it was the same with them. My conclusion is the empty box was put there to help keep the gimbal in place. 😅

Hey man, thanks for the positive feedback. My full review will be up in the next week and a half, but just know that charging it is not issue. You can charge via your computer or with a phone charger , it'll work with both. You can also charge it while it's connected to a computer via USB, you'll have to have an extra USB C cable to do that though.

Hey, thanks for reaching out. It does have a bit of latency (a few milliseconds at least). That's something I plan to talk more about in my full review that's coming soon. What I'll tell you though is that depending on how you plan to use this, the latency won't be much of an issue. I hope my answer helped.

Well, the overheating isn't an issue anymore. It was, however OnePlus issued an update which addressed that issue. As for the battery life, it's not bad. I'd say it above average. I get around 4-5 hours of screen on time. That coupled with the fast charging makes workable. I hope this helps
