What's the steel? Stainless or carbon? How hard? How long is the hardened bit section? Gerber almost never tells. That's a much bigger problem than not arriving profiled and sharpened.
Most hatchets don't ship sharp. Then you can pick your bevel style without losing any additional metal. There are reasons for different bevel profiles based on whether you want it to split or chop better. Or maybe you want it to be a crafting hatchet. The manufacturer shouldn't be choosing that for you. Some people like a convex profile for the last half inch or more. Some like a straight wedge with a tiny micro-bevel of maybe 1/8 inch or less. The forest service publishes a printed convex profile guide to meet their standards. Axe profiles are complicated. The vendor should not be guessing your application.
Love the video!
Such a great experience, so glad I got to be on the trip with you, man!
Great watch!
I agree!!
Thanks for Sharing 😀👍✝️. Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying. Whom shall I send. And who will go for us. And I said here I am send me. Isaiah:6:8
What an experience Kenny! That's awesome. I only got about 20 minutes in today, gonna have to come back and finish watching. Sure am looking forward to finishing it though
Great video!
Nice upload. Learned a lot, I'm speechless. Thanks.
We Need A Hawk Tuah Bucket Boss Tool Roll Gal! 🤟
Great to know that something like that is viable. I'm thinking about punching a hole through a canvas tarp.
Neat!
fishing kit with same tube...you can cast
What knee pads are those?
That sure is a good looking watch! I thought I saw evidence of one in the Fish Pond Lake video. Thanks for sharing this video. I never knew that the lids on those containers snapped on.
Yep, you’re partially to blame for that expensive purchase. LOL But I do love my new watch.
@@UglyTent I’m glad you do! I’ll take the blame, especially if it keeps you out of trouble with Mrs. Uglytent. 🤣🤣
Thrift stores!.. every visit is an adventure. You find great wool blanket treasure and save $$$.. Subbed💯👍
Ce n'est pas un sac à pain, mais le sac contre les attaques chimiques, j'ai reçu le mien avec tout le matos qui va avec! Alors arretez donc de parler de sac à pain!
💪🏽🇺🇸
They’re HIS knives, he should know more about them than anyone else on You tube!’ But I doubt he knows much about my knife collection!!
I can't give this video a "thumbs up". Personally I found the title and video to be no more than click bait. While I'm sure the training course was top notch, this video was nothing but an ad for your training course. If you title it as survival skills, you should be showing those skills, not just a bunch of guys camping.
‘Preciate your stamina and resolve. It inspires me.
Thank you, I truly appreciate that 🙏
🤣🤣🤣…….how on earth did I manage to complete 24 years in the army without a film showing me how to fold a poncho? What a sad world we live in.
While I sympathize with you, and wish you the best, this video sucks. It's not about survival instruction it's all about you and your health problems. I certainly won't be taking your course.
This video is outstanding af. Shawn Kelly is one of the best Bushcraft instructors that I know keep doing an awesome job. Semper Fi brother
How’s it been holding up for you is there another keychain flashlight you prefer or use over this by chance? I’ve been on a Fenix kick lately they make good quality lights!
Agreed and it’s holding up great! I have a keychain ThruNite that lives in my EDC bag, but I like the Fenix better
Outstanding video
Youre in different part of country woods more dense lots of fallen pines and 1m trunk diameter in oaks.
or reflectix then yoga mat then reflectix on top glue them all together
they do a wider version. The bigbubble version insulates even better
Turn the can over you have a ring on the bottom that the snare will fit in
I just checked, yes it does. Thank you
🎉finally! Some snipets from the "new school"🎉🎉
The Zyn can also has a bottom compartment for used pouches like the first can that you showed. Maybe the snare or another item can ride in there to give you more room in main storage area. Thanks for the upload.
Mine doesn’t, but it does have a removable ring big enough for the snare. Thanks for the suggestion though
@@UglyTent that's what I meant, that ring cover. Either way good deal. Thx again for the vid.
Corporals Con Artist is a scammer. He would claim he is doing an over nighter, but he never stayed the entire night. He records the "breakfast" the same night and edit it to look like he spent the night
Cry much?

Hi there mate 👋 It’s Pete here I’m from Australia I know this is years ago when you did this video I’m just wondering do know how or where I can purchase a couple of theses? Pete
Hey Pete, good luck finding one, they are rare. I have one in my shop to sell, no not internationally. It would cost a fortune to send it to you my friend.
@@UglyTent hello there and thanks for the reply, I have managed to find 2 of them last week for sale.
DIng-Dinga-Ding, ding-Dinga That is an advanced Tetris game you are playing.
I like it! Great idea
Thanks buddy. Glad you like it!
Nice Job Kenny, as cool as that snare is, a coil of wire might have been easier to make work and it could really use a razor blade in it for that little firefly ferorod
Thanks for the tip!
Good kit , thanks for sharing YAH bless brother !
God bless you to brother!
Cut the match book in half and add a utility knife blade. I’ve found the the utility knife blade more useful than a single edge razor blade. My 2¢
Wrap duct tape around outside.
Great idea!
Great little kit.
Thanks Michael!
😀👍✝️
Hot glue the button compas to the lid.
Cool little kit Kenny! Easy kit to keep handy when needed! Takes up very little space and contains some essential survival items!
Thanks Chris!
Looks like a fun game. Thank you for showing us how you do it. Stay safe and stay cool
Thanks, you too!
This was a great video... Really nice scenery
Glad you enjoyed it
I thought I was gonna be convinced to finally purchase, but after watching this video, I realize how dumb I’d look if I bought them😂 kidding
Where in KY is the gathering held
Mercer County Fish and Game Club, Mercer County KY
Looks like a good time!
I wore these pants about 400 days over 3 years before there were a few rips and wear points.I think if I waxed them more they would have lasted a little longer. I loved them but can't justify that expense again when there are now many knockoffs that are nearly as good for a quarter to half the price.
