  Nice review! One thing I would like to note with these cheap E88 drones is that many of these drones are "runners". Even when these E88 drones lose signal from controller, they keep going... going and going until they are gone and lost forever. Not all E88 drones behave like this, some E88 drones power down when they lose signal from controller. But you can't tell what you are getting as these E88 drones are manufactured by many different companies.

  I bought 4-6 different mod 1 gears. Was so sick of busting teeth. I upgraded to the mod 1.5 gears and no longer have to worry. They are definitely louder but worth the reliability

  Problem is with 1.5 mod you just move the weakpoint to more expensive harder to fix parts. Tons of guys bash on included 46T gears and never have issues. Don’t land on throttle. Don’t use self right. Use motor washers. Mod 1 should be fine if mesh doesn’t move

  Just got one of those and have yet to take it out for a trial run. One feature that mine has according to the manual is "obstacle avoidance" by the push of a button. Just curious if the drone in the video has this feature and if it actually does avoid obstacles or is just a gimmick, for the low low price of this thing i sincerely doubt that it has the capability to avoid an object the size of a barn door. But, who knows. Great video!

  As a DJI 4 Pro user, it is my guilty pleasure to watch this garbage drones videos. Still, there are some very usable 100€ drones. Of course anything under 100€ probably flies directly to the garbage can without turning it on.

  I just bought this and it’s my first time ever adding a receiver to a car… cars I buy already come with a radio etc… so I didn’t understand how to connect it to a car… I watch a few vids but know one would actually plug wires in the receiver to show you like you did and o wasn’t sure if you had to use the telemetry plug it came with and you used it without it!!! Your vid helped me figure it out how to use it!!!! Thank you so much!!!!! Keep up the vids!!!

  Can anybody give me any information about the batteries for the HS120D. I got a open box model off Ebay and my model is 1S (3.7V 1000mah stock battery). I think this might be the same as the 110D or 110G battery. But I bought this drone for 2S horsepower....Holystones online manual says it's a 2S 7.4V. I had similatanously extra battery's from a offbrand source for this drone and they're the 2S version. I'm wondering if Holystone discontinued the battery and adapted the HS120D to take the HS110 battery. So im wondering if I just need to take the drone apart and maybe it's a removable adapter best case scenario and hopefully the electronics are still the same and capable running 2S. It looks like there was a 2S sized opening in the drone and has been reduced to take 1S. It's only too big by height....all other dimensions are the same and contacts are in the same place. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this on KZread and i've found nothing on the internet on this. The models are all "HS120" and I don't see anything designating or differentiating between a 1S compatible model and 2S. I guess the only way is to take apart the drone and see if it's just an optional adapter that can be taken out. If electronics are the same, then it can run 2S. That's a big reason I bought this over the HS110G. This was supposed to be 2S and have more power. Second reason is the tilting camera.

  These can run fine on water and they won't sink, even if the fan stops. They operate more like a boat in water than a hovercraft, the big Typhoon will go far better. The foam is there to prevent sinking, i have a Hurricane Hovercraft which is the exact same thing as this but from Australia. Only difference is the stickers.

  I wanted one of these so bad as a kid. Every time that commercial came on I was hooked even more. Christmas was coming up and it’s all I talked about. Christmas Day came my mom got me this cheap ass thing that was all plastic with a fan in the middle. No controller at all lol. It just bounced around on the floor when it actually worked. I’ll tell ya one thing, growing up poor builds character 😂

  I hear you man. I wasn’t supposed to get that for Christmas, but my father passed away 3 weeks before. My mom was trying to cheer me up, well try her best. Definitely know the poor part growing up in the 80s. I wore shoes from thrifty’s. That were made out of plastic. Lol just very thankful. God bless ya and thanks for watching!

  I'm homeless so when I pushed the home feature it landed in the dumpster And a crackhead ran off with it. Can't win for losing. Now the crack dealer owns my drone and he uses it to keep a lookout for cops.😅 Never make the mistake of flying your drone in the ghetto.😮

  Thank you! My very 1st run on a new 2024 xmaxx 8s with belted tires ordered directly from Traxxas website. It only drove for approx 5 minutes and when I put it on a load climbing a steep hill it stopped driving. Could hear the motor spinning no forward or reverse. That sucked, had to carry it about 3/4 of a mile back to the car and go home :( I had a pretty good idea to check these gears and I removed the housing, but without any experience working on this all I could see is the 2 gears looked right, they weren't slipping and manually turning either gear would make the tires turn. So the motor drive shaft was free spinning inside the gear and I wasn't sure what to do about that. I find your video and @ 10:23 I see traxxas did not torque down that set screw, it backed off just like you said can happen in this vid. I couldn't see the flat spot on the drive shaft and I didn't want to remove more than I needed to fix this so I plugged in the batteries and feather tapped the throttle till the flat spot on the drive shaft appeared on the top and then I locked down the set screw. I see the screw had what I believe was the factory threadlock but it probably wasn't enough. I'm gonna need to get that threadlock you reommended. Anyhow, just want to say thanks for the time you put in and the level of detail you go into helps a lot!
