  It a shame my mint boxed Timpo and Swoppets were not filmed .I guess being in the small room did not help' Anyway most them are now been sold at a toy soldier fair in usa in April.Especially war roses boxed mint swoppets from a old toy shop found on house clearance.I had large number professional hand painted civil war fig they went down treat. Disappointed the uk buyers did not buy any at the London show. 10 pound each.

  The show wasn't as busy as in previous years. It is very hit and miss, sometimes it's really busy other times not so busy. The show in March was much better. I don't get chance to film every table as I am also standing with a trade table myself so I have very limited time to film the videos.

  I had some top rate fig but was not in main room,Hence a lot buyers missed me in the small room.I have been able to sell a large amount at Barry Potter fairs anyway .My rare mint boxed items especially.

  Im Thinking of getting into this hobby, just to add one more to the dozen or so other hobbies i have, and speaking as the Grandson of a Polish woman who witnessed the Nazis first hand i would have no problem adding these to the collection, had some when i was a kid, its a time and events that should never be forgotten.

  Got any recommendations for cheap ranges? Just built a castle for a youngster and the only 'knights' I could find were very asiatic in appearance. You need 10-20 soldiers per side in 1:32 so cost is an issue. You can get rather poor Chinese knock-offs of the old Matchbox 1:32 figures but they are better than 'army men' (lots more poses and rather more realistic figures). Not sure what market Airfix is trying to serve, the newer figures take paint better but they are too brittle to be handled (as in played with). You can still get British and German troops but only the Brits have a support weapons set, if they did troops and heavy weapons for both four boxes would make up a very nice set.

  @@bigjon0072 I also film at shows and the trick is to slide in at the end of a line of customers and walk along OR wait until after lunch when it is quieter. If you check out some of my show reports I try to wait until 12 noon or 1pm. It really helps! As a newspaper photographer I was taught never shoot backs, seldom shoot sides, always shoot fronts.

  Hi, the figures are 1.30th scale and are mostly made by King and Country and a few others. They are mainly all metal figures with a handfull of plastic figures by Elastolin.
