wow.... mine doesn't do that. sheesh... something is wrong with that amp, I would have the company take a look, at least email them this youtube link. its a great amp, best I've found to power Susvara headphones. (I like a precise, technical sound signature)

People are asking if I like the amp - I would say yes. This amp really performs well - very neutral and natural sound. The specs are off the hook amazing, it sounds great if you want an amp that adds zero color and is transparent.

I just ordered one in rack version. How did you connect the speakers. Speakon plugs or?

Simply cut a notch in the protractor where it hits the lift mechanism.

My NAD receiver pops when i turn it on but nothing like that! That sounds like a firecracker. 😂. How do you like the performance of the benchmark besides the pop issue?

Sorry for the late reply. I did email them and we figured out it was an issue in DAC which had a high DC output bias running into the amp. Once that was fixed the pop went away. See the DAC issue - which they fixed. kzread.info/dash/bejne/iqClmrt7gLzKkco.html

Hey Brian, given that the issue was fixed with the DAv would you still recommend the benchmark amplifier (with a different company DAC) or do you think it’s better to spend money on other amps.

They fixed it for free. Great customer service. They said one of the analog ICs got ESD damaged.

Wow, that's rough. The draw with no signal is about 12 watts so just leave it on. Amps these days are designed to be left on, keeps them at peak readiness not to mention the most wear and tear takes place during power up.
