Thank you. I try to speak as fast as the thoughts come into my head. Both my thoughts, then my speaking become one garbled mess.

About once a year I have to rewatch this video to remind myself that I am not imagining this very irritating manner of speaking. I was just sent a video of a walking tour through my hometown. I couldn't stand the upspeak (aka High Rising Terminal, Uptalk, Rising Inflection, or High Rising Intonation).

Great video. The actual content starts at 2'19": speak with confidence/ intentional, relaxed, and with playfulness (not monotone)

No idea why but I keep getting Scottish accent training clips today. An honest appraisal of this accent being spoken here is it sounds much more Indian than Scottish. (I’m a lifelong Scot and I have never heard any Scot speak like that. Not trying to be nasty but I just can’t let it go it’s embarrassing. Otherwise I genuinely wish you well.

This is so great! I first fell in love w/ Scottish accent when watching Gordon Jackson on Upstairs Downstairs. My fave quote of his character, Hudson, is: "I may be a butler from London, Mr. McKay, but my father, I'll have you know, was head ghillie to Lord Invermore in Argyllshire for thirty years," what a joy to hear. Esp. the way he says "thirty," "chair," "church," and "years." I think Gordon Jackson is from Glasgow, but his character on the show I think was from the Highlands.
