  From an audio engineer, don't ever boost any frequency. Let the sound be the one intended from the artists. Stop destroying the experience with boosted bass sounds or AI EQs. It sounds terrible. Audio engineer mixers do this on a studio for a reason.

  I have logitech 906 5.1 sound system. It's amazing for movies but shit for music. If I buy R2890 can I use them to replace my 5.1 system?

  R2850DB doesn't have the range to not also need to use its sub out connection for a dedicated subwoofer, but you can get one of those good for around $200 or less. I retired my Z5500 to pro-logic II retro gaming just now for these. One might miss the rear surround speakers, but stereo still has incredible soundstage.
