And in my opinion among many other people,s Grieg,s Piano Concerto maybe the greatest piano concerto of all time, Period !!!!!

The cadenza leading up to the coda in the 3rd movement is just too fast and without the required narrative weight. The coda has little dance-like qualities and he rushes through it with impressive technique. He's generally on the (too) fast side in this rendition. Still a thrilling performance.

I've watched this recording many times over the years. Still, today, I marvel at how talented and serious these teens were. What a fantastic bunch - they were able to convey Maestro Dudamel's interpretation and captured Ravel's drama.

Great stuff, thanks for posting. Long ago in another lifetime I recall... on the Ost Front, Radio Berlin played this every night as it's sign-off music..
