  The word indian was coined by the colonials. The colonials used the same title indian for the indigenous people of america as well. Christianity is the foundation of alll nations under european union. But still they maintain boundaries of the nation by language. Because anthropologically they are caucasian but linguistically different. People of indian nation are not same even anthropologically. Imposing the history of one race to other race doesn't makes sense. Changing the name of the country to bharath might be honarable for north but not for south. To be identified by the colonial name or mythological name is not a pride. Language is the identity of a person. That's why my state has the name "Tamilnadu" meaning tamil country. I don't believe in the politicians, government and manipulted history as well. My grandfather was born before independence. In documents of his time i have seen the religion was written as shiva madham and vaishnava madham but not hindu.

  Why states make laws to punish those who disrupt the peace or voilate others rights? These laws are followed by all the modern-states. The US holds laws to punish the wrongdoers or those who disrupting thd normal way of life. The suit is followed in other western or european countries even in the arab world and the third world states, there are laws and consitutionally designed punishments for crminals. Islam is not the religion ( rituals ) Islam is the deen means a system which deals with entire code of life-social, economical and political. Does punishing a voilator of peace not come under the umbrella of Political system. However, like other system lets say democratic system ( have Islamic roots like upholding justice, respect public opinion, respect minorities, freedom of speach, human and women rights etc) gives and guarantees human rights by punishing those who voilates those rights, likewise Islam also teaches the state to uphold justice, protects other rights and maintains peace. So be misguided think and pondering upon it. Quran 49:13: "O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. ... The Quran (5:32) says "Whoever kills one person unless it be for murder or spreading corruption it shall as if he killed whole of humanity".
