I know it's an old video, but I studied cabin crew at college, and the jobs seems similar enough (ride host seems a lot less intense though). You have to do pre-flight (or in this case ride) briefs and checks, which are a legal part of the Cabin Crew role. I'm studying tracel and tourism for another two years, but do you think I would have a decent chance of being a ride host (I also have volunteered as a cahier and self stacker and I'm hoping to volunteer over the Summer at the hospice where my Grandad went to).
Hey, that’s so cool!! I love planes too yes I guess it a bit similar it’s all health and safety related which is the main focus. But tbh you don’t really need any exams or GCSEs for being a ride host ( I have none whatsoever) and managed to be a ride host. I would just apply for the role and you’ll probably get an interview so you definitely got a good chance in getting in. Hope this helps and let me know how you get on 💜😁

I went three weeks ago and got front seat it was epic
I went on opening day (Saturday) It was absoloutly amazing! How good is the new Nemisis themeing and how good the area is now if AT start to do this on other areas of the park it's going to be amazing!
It was incredible!! Blown away by all the new theming, the atmosphere yesterday was amazing too everyone was so happy 😭🥹 yes agree hope towers from now going forward does this to the rest of the park

It was awful will not be visiting Blackpool pleasure beach for a long time 😭🤦♀️ it’s not worth the money and time and travel. I’ve had better days there in the past.

Ahh amazing!! Let me know how your interview goes. Of course, if your driving go towards if your heading to park in the express parking / drop off spot. But don’t go as far down there. As you turn you normally see people walking down to the park entrance they cross a small zebra crossing. Drive straight ( there like a big wooden fence/wall that is where the staff car park is, park up there and it’s next to the staff car park. It’s the big green building. You’ll normally wait in the main staff canteen is for job interviews etc. if your taking the bus it drop you outside the main entrance of the park. Walk up as if you’re heading to the main car parks. Half way up there a little cut through to magic hq. Hope this helps. ☺️
Hi, I’ve just got the job as a ride host, I was just wondering what the full time hours are and how much walking is involved as a host?
Hey, ah congrats!! Full time can vary but they are long hrs so be prepared!! On quiet days you’re looking at 9am till an hour/hour half after park closes. on busier days like scarefest for example it’s 9am - 10/11pm

Your welcome!! Speak to your manager they should talk about your shifts and what days you’ll work. But it’s whatever your availability is and what days you can and can’t work etc. but also are able to work every day if need be. You’ll get allocated days. Hope that helps
@@xxjessiedavisxx I’ve been doing the online training courses and it says ride checks will be carried out, and you have a go yourself on rides. Is that mandatory? as I don’t like rides and would prefer not to go on them 😂
@@ellieparkes71 😂 then your in the wrong job role 😂 as that is part of the job doing the morning checks and most times you do get to ride the ride while doing the checks etc. you maybe able to ask not to do it but it depends on how many staff on the ride each day and what position you do that day etc.

I’m really interested in it, I have A while to go but I have a couple questions, I know I will be nervous in the interview because it’s such a long way for me, if I get the job I will have to find accommodation somewhere but that’s a problem for future me haha. What’s the chances you will get a job on a big coaster or even something like blade Tysm ❤ loved the video
Hey ahh thanks so much I’m glad you liked the video and has given you some insight for the future! You can apply if your 16 but for ride op it’s 18. Don’t worry about the interview too much just be yourself and everything will be fine most likely you’ll get the job! There a lot of people in the same boat as you will be for accommodation wise locally try cheedle!! And people house share too. Also ask hr when you do go for interviews etc they will give you info. If you do become a ride host there are 4 main areas that you could be places in. Like me I was in area 3 which had smiler / spinball and CBeebies land. Any day you could be put on different ride ( when you’ve passed the minimum hrs of training etc ) so most likely you’ll be on a big ride!! You get swapped around a lot so no two days are the same! Hope that helps 😅🤍
