I got a bag of 20 bluey coins from the new agency for $20 After seeing this video went back & bought another 3 bags. Thank you Dan
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks 👍
I really like stuff aimed at younger collectors. I hope at least some of these end up in the hands of kids, hopefully with an interested adult around to explain to them about coin collecting. Probably not, but hey, I’m an optimist 🙂
I totally agree with you, my daughter loves the Bluey coins. She loves the collection I’m getting for her. Hopefully the mintage is high enough to for collectors and kids. Thanks Dan
How did you get them so early from release Did you get them from the mint
I just got them from eBay. There a lots on eBay already. Thanks Dan
Hope I can find them in mine change
Yes, I hope so too! It would be great for the kids to get them into coin collecting.
Went to australia post last week and ladie behind the counter told me 3rd august they will have them
Thanks so much for sharing, I wonder if they are doing one at a time or all 10?
Didn't think to ask that. I suppose we'll find out soon enough😂
I just bought one (bluey) from a seller on ACBC for $7. I thought that was reasonable.
That’s definitely a great price 👌 nice work
Bluey is a girl...
Bluey is only popular at the moment. does anyone remember the wiggles? Give it a couple of years, and it will be something else.
I think the difference this time is Bluey is exploding in American! If it really takes off over there it will be around for a while. And also adults love the show as well. Just like the Simpsons. Time will only tell. Thank for your input. Dan
Very strange that the coins are for sale so soon . No wonder its so hard for me to get coins at release time as others seem to get them weeks early. Not happy.
I would love to know how they are getting access to the coins? And who they are in the supply chain!! Dan
WON'T get my money. I'll leave them for the Aussie kids.
FYI, Bluey is a girl. Love your videos.
I did know that, just must have slipped up when taking about the coins 🤦♂️ thanks for pointing it out. Dan
Very excited to get the full ten coin set for this
100% I think they will be the most collectable coins in 2024!
@@DantheCollectingMan haha definitely!
I'm not sure Bluey coins (UNC and for circulation) will maintain their high value in the future. It's popular now as the show is popular. Once the show ends (whether tomorrow or in 5 or 10 years), hype will drop significantly, and I expect that prices will do the same. It'll always have some premium due to nostalgia, but I don't think it'll last. Happy to be proved wrong, however that's always been my experience and observations regarding television and film related collectables.
I do agree with you, but it’s definitely fun to be collecting them now. Who knows, they may become the next Simpsons?
@@DantheCollectingMan it is fun to collect things during a subject’s heyday. And I wholly encourage anyone to collect whatever brings them joy. I think the caveat is that our generation were encouraged to hold onto things because they could be worth a lot of money one day. Some thing have, but 98% hasn’t. The Simpsons, I think, are the outliers for commercial longevity and have passed their best-before date. The Simpsons today is a shadow of its mid-late 90’s peak. I think Thomas the Tank Engine is a better fit to Bluey. You can still get Thomas things today, but it’s nothing like it’s peak in the late 80’s and 90’s thanks to the tv show - despite the actual source material being 80 years old next year (bring on a Thomas coin!!).
What's the mintage of the gold coins?I read it's 15k?
I would be very surprised if it was only 15k. That would make them super collectible. 🤞
I got four of them two weeks ago from a few coin rolls I got from a bank
So it must be released from the bank already. Surprised that the mint has not communicated anything about the coins yet!
they are only worth $1 just be patient , the resellers that are selling them early are obviously mint workers who else would have access over a month out from release
It is would be surprised if the mint works are allowed to get them early? The ones I bought were from Queensland. So might be people working for Bluey?
I just looked in my pocket change and of 12 $2 coins, I had 4 1988 HH $2 coins, yeah there real rare. Must be worth at least 8 Dollars.
Haha, that’s why you can’t trust what people are trying to sell them on eBay. Thanks for watching. Dan
A nice design I got my grandson the 50p star wars coins and will get him the bar for Xmas 👍
It’s definitely a nice piece to own. Great gift idea 👍
I have
Thanks for sharing 👍
great silver
Thanks 👍
like you I brought the 2023 $1 coin roll, the 2024 $2 coin roll and three 5 cent coin rolls...premium. I then brought the box set of premiums, and then brought a coin roll box from comm coinage, then on Ebay I brought the 10-cent coin roll 20 cent 50 cent and $1 premium roll. So I have two sets of premium rolls. they are nice. cheers
So I’m not the only person who has been buying everything that was released 😂🤣 thanks so much for sharing. Makes me feel better. Dan
That is adorable
👌
Dan, That would be a MALE emu, as males hatch the eggs & raise the young. Look it up...😊
Good point, the only thing that throws me off is the series is called “mother and baby” maybe that’s why they changed the name this year to “next generation” thanks Dan
I love my 10oz one
Any silver coin in 10oz looks amazing 👌
@@DantheCollectingMan yeah that's true
It's my favorite coin series.
It’s definitely a nice series! Thanks so much for sharing. Dan
Looks like a family of pregnant rats 😂 they look a lot cuter in real life
Hi Dan wouldn't the (P)125 be the mint mark from the perth mint 🤷♂️ thats what I thought maybe the Perth mint changed it and decided to just have the P125 and left the P mint mark out cheers mate. 👊👍🙏
Yes the P125 is the mint mark, what I’m looking for is the security micro engraving that they use for anti counterfeiting. You can’t see it with the naked eye. Thanks Dan
Thanks for the video, Dan
No worries! 👍
Hey 👋 I just sent you a byb 1 gram silver bar, thank you for your eBay purchase
Awesome thank you! I love collecting different types of silver. And I’m a big fan of BYB! He is the reason I started this channel. Thanks so much, Dan
Subscribed ❤
thanks Dan
No worries 👍
You cant go wrong with the Perth mint beautiful coins great video sir from English Dave 😃
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for watching. Dan
Nice coin dan...I did see the crocodile and baby coin selling for around $190 nice coin as well hard to find...thanks dan.
Thanks so much for sharing. It’s a cool set to collect. Thanks Dan
I’ve only the kangaroos. Like it quite a bit.
It’s definitely a nice one to collect. Thanks for sharing. Dan
Great coin, great series. Thx for showing them off. 🍻
No problem 👍 Dan
I purchased the same set. My plan is to wrap the box in soft paper and vacuum seal for long term storage. I wasn't sure on the value, but I took a gamble on the king being quite old and there may not be many years of coins with his effigy.
Great tip! Hopefully it becomes collectible in the future. Thanks Dan
I recently picked up one of those Golden Eagle coins and I agree they are really well done. The Germania bars are really cool as well, love pretty much everything that comes out of that mint. Thanks for the review, very well done.
Totally agree, you can’t go wrong with the mint. Glad you enjoyed the video. Dan
I think the mint made out like bandits on this one . Good for people that collect rolls 👍 I think the 50 cent will be the lowest mintage out of all the denominations
Hopefully one of the rolls are low mintage 🤞 I have only started collecting in the last year as content for my channel. Hopefully it adds some value to my collection.
you said it’s $55 face value ? No its $90 face value lol
Looks like I need to go back to school to learn to count 🤦♂️ thanks for pointing it out 👍 Dan
Great minds think alike, I thought it was rather cheeky of the Mint to release the premium or non premium $1 '$2 and 5c rolls and then , Release their Crocodile 🐊 on Collectors 🧍🚶🕺💃🏃
It’s been years since we see (now) King Charles on a coin... The 1981 circulating 50c coins as a prince of Wales with the late Lady Dianna.
Yes, but he was only a prince and it wasn’t the effigy. But that coin is definitely one to keep. Thanks Dan
@@DantheCollectingMan sometimes I get it in my change 50c; 1 recently almost mint condition.
Nice going . I got 12 of those from Woollies today in Merimbula. The lady was so nice she gave me my change in coins
It’s so good when you find someone who is helpful. Thanks for sharing. Dan
Good info Dan. Thanks. Blessings Grace🙏🏻
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching. Dan
Nice Dan
Thanks 👍
Like #5 - great video mate, first time seeing these! Very cool collection!
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it. Love the video you’re making! Dan
I bought 3 sets from the Mint , So that I more or less will receive hopefully sets of coins in at LEAST, MS 65 and above, It's a miracle if you receive anything from Woolworths in MS 66 and above , As Not all coins are handled equally lol 👍😂
I know, most have a lot of paint missing. I could find another without a mark! Hopefully the sets are better 🤞 Dan
I bought some stuff at woolies yesterday and he was happy to give me 5 coloured coins in change 👍
That’s great, it’s nice when you get someone who is happy to give you what you’re after 👌
Very cool 🎉
Thanks 👍
Not bad at all 👋👋
Thanks 👍
Tip : Buy from Australia Post. Spend $30 and postage is free.
Very good point. And you don’t need to wait over a month for them to ship it out… thanks Dan
I also went to 3 woolies stores and all we're brilliant. Each store traded me 5 coins. It would be great to know how many coins each woolies got.
Thanks so much for sharing! I’m guessing there will be a million coins / how many Woolies stores 🤔
@@DantheCollectingMan I'd believe so. That's why I'm keen to know how many each woolies store received
