642 here.. I have entertained the idea of replacing the factory grips on it but as far as the concealment issue goes I think it's kind of defeating the purpose. When it comes to concealment the factory are as good as it gets. On the other hand they're not really comfortable in my hand. I do like Hogue and have the mono grip on my 44 L frame. I literally just purchased this for ONLY $219.00 at Sportsman's Warehouse (July 2024 Special). I am blown away at this gun's superb functionality. As you stated, it mirrors Glock in a very close parameter down to millimeters to their internals, but off enough not to get sued. Mechanically, this gun fires and eats ammo like a Glock 17 or Springfield XDS. It literally has NOT given me any FTF. The only thing I believe many or some will come to see and that's that the follower is made - the only part I can see at this point, made from inferior poly-resin plastic. In less than 400 rounds of 115 GR Winchester, the follower started to become engraved and created excessive wear spots. I reported it to Stoeger and they sent me replacement followers but this is a defect they'll have to adjust with as more of these are purchased. Otherwise, this is absolutely a must have gun! The price is ridiculously low and moved into an EDC position because after a solid 200 rounds fired as fast as I can swap mags, it literally never balked. It past my test to say the least. BTW, the '15 round' magazines actually hold 17 rounds! Even confirmed by the Stoeger Rep! This. Is. An. Amazing. Firearm!
