  I was watching this UFC event live and free on Spike TV back in 2007. I was really shocked. I thought Cro Cop would end up koing Gonzaga with a head kick and not the other way around. 😮

  It’s crazy how ufc in the beginning, there were a lot more fighters still striking even when the fighter is clearly out. In today’s ufc, you see a lot more fighters holding back when they realize the fighter is obviously out.

  his hands moved to his body so maybe he taught it was a body kick, but cro crop hands were not in position to defend a body kick so maybe it was just a twitch reflex to an attack. It's pretty common to move like that when being attacked and your uncomfortable.

  God I remember this. Mirko was on a helluva run and was killing people at the time with his kick. No one saw this coming (no pun intended). I don't think he was ever the same after!

  No doubt about it. I seen people die from boxing, despite their hands being protected by 12oz of padding. These guys are kicking without any protection whatsoever. Just pure power and bone slamming into their heads would at least cause the brain to rattle around or shake. I'm sure people got killed over headkicks as vicious as this, but fortunately that's rare.
