The most curious arrangement I’ve ever heard. I am certain he’s playing exactly the variations he wrote, and he plays with great relaxed confidence and skill - but for me he’s taken a few too many liberties!

@@Th3Alfisti yes, I believe you. I wrote it cca 1 year ago , today is different day and there is always word 'better'. Music has one more impact : impact to heart , emotions . And they are individual and without ambition to compete. In the other words , there are also worse players who can bring more tears.

What a shame; he couldn't play this! He could not keep the tempo in the fast part.

Years passed and still nobody told Rossfelder that the clicking nail noise when playing tremolo is inacceptable. This is a shame because he is such a wonderful performer! Shorter nails, more flesh and his tremolo would be on of the best ever.

Patrick Michaud Emmanuel Rossfelder est un immense guitariste et ce récital donné à l'abbaye du Mont Saint Michel en est une sublime illustration. Pour l'avoir écouté à sept reprises en concert, j'en suis ressorti infiniment heureux. Avoir partagé ces moments musicaux offerts par un musicien d'une immense sensibilité, maîtrisant les nuances de cet instrument sans oublier son sens de la pédagogie et sa gentillesse est une chance qu'il faut partager. Un artiste complet... Merci encore pour ces moments.

In honesty, played a tad too quickly for my personal taste, at the sacrifice of emotion and pace integrity. That's just my personal opinion, nothing more. I did however enjoy his visual presentation. His facial expressions, posture and (wow) that suit... quite well presented. I did note that he shifted significantly from the original music. If one doesn't mind that and is prepared for it... it was quite an interesting variation on what I have often thought was "playing exactly the same thing twice". His use of artistic license was unusual enough that I can't judge upon first listen whether I actually liked it or not, but it was different. : )
