What does playing a little bit of blues have to do with "freaks"? Freaks get the blues?!?

I played reeds all over UK and Eu plus a bit in USA. but now I'm wondering if I should have played Brass? Wonderful, including that magic, rich Mnozjl wrong note. Will never be the same again without it!

Over the years, I began to wonder if the main objective, playing this piece, was to go below the 10-minute mark, with supersonic and often grotesque performance speeds. Here is finally an interpretation of this rhapsody for trombone with a lot of sensitivity and especially, tempi adapted to the style and to the remarkable orchestration of Gordon Langford. Congratulations to the soloist, the conductor and the musicians!

Originally written for the trombone maestro Don Lusher. I had the great fortune to play the wind band version of this piece with Don and what a humble, friendly, interesting and funny man. There are some lovely musical terms in the piece especially the 'big' tune marked 'Lusheroso'. This performance by Ian and the band is beautifully played. A great homage to a great man.

Marvellous playing, as always from Ian. It's easy to dismiss the Langford as a brass band 'lollipop' but it's so well written for the trombone and the musical structure is really quite complex.

The percussion are missing out parts for some reason, timing completely stuffed up about 10 minutes in, and that last note was a tad...erm... xD Otherwise, a great quality performance of a damn hard piece! I'm well impressed :D
