Foreigners in Thailand learn quickly that 'spicy' is not a flavour, it's a warning.

Foreigners really struggle with learning Thai. I speak and understand Thai at a low intermediate level. It's not been easy.
I love how the dog saunters into the scene, picks the perfect framed shot from which to take a big poop, and then turns and exits the video. LOL. He pooped on your video Dude!!! Now that is what you call a PHOTO BOMB!!!!
Haha i didn't even notice the dogs commentary on my video style... if you look closely in some videos, squirrels and monkeys pop into frame...but none poop.
'Some people', those with a brain realise this as no imagination. What you didn't think about tings to do when you are a dummy?
im late to this video but if you are spending 500 baht a day on food you have a problem
newish thailand tax rules maybe put the kibosh on this dream maybe ☹
The town is pronounced "wah-hin."
Thanks for commenting. This one has been covered in the comments. Ask a Thai person or put this into Google Translate..หัวหิน. ห gives the h sound.
Thanks. I didn't have time to go through all the comments. But I live in Hua Hin and have asked multiple young people who grew up here. Plus, I listen to their conversations. It is wah-hin!!! (also, Google Translate can be a bit iffy)

Is there a condo that has a tennis court in Hua Hin ?
Not sure. Im heading back soon, I'll take a look
Hey Alex great content where was it filmed

Health insurance is too expensive for retirement age seniors.
Show the new #Huahin train station show the new #Tesla Supercharger station
If these are the 5 reasons to not retire in Thailand I'm coming tomorrow
The water quality is the main thing that puts me off Thailand. Oh and the crazy driving.

Great! Looking forward to it! Thanks so much!
hi alex...3-4 months is what i am interested in. i want to go somewhere with a hospital & good medical. i do have some questions before i can make a decision. your videos are very helpfil.
alex ...interested in thailand...thankyou for your info. have you ever seen venomous snakes in the beach/tourist areas?
Never seen one. Have seen plenty of venomous snakes in Australia
Can live on the beach for $500 a month Delicious Fresh affordable Seafood Several nice gold courses Cheap minivans to Bangkok Decent used motorbike for $1000 Too sleepy for me to live long term but have visited for a few days 10 times. Can live well on $900 to $1500 for a single person.
I just want to walk on the beach and play golf in Hua Hin.
What are your sources, are they reliable, where are the stats, what makes you the expert, what are your credentials?
The points you make are valid. My advice is if you are still at home and any of the points raised concern you stay at home. Most of the points raised will apply to any forien country.
I just don't want to live anywhere near where Komodo Dragons live, or might I say even the Asian Water Monitor in Thailand, although I've read they're not violent by nature, still unsettling.
Excellently presented & bang on point 👍
Hua Hin Vegan is a great choice
Won't you get tired of your home country. Cold and friends. I am bored today, in the US I am 65 years old. Boring.
Thanks for the content, however you may want to increase your sound. its very low on my mobile and laptop. Cheers
Thanks, Paul. It's something I've fixed going forward.
The FB pages "Life in Hua Hin", "Hua Hin Condos/Houses" and many more have lots of information on rentals/purchase. There are alsi numerous FB's for cafe and restaurant guide.
Realestates in holiday destinations depreciate a lot when you want to sell. There are always new and better condos are being built. Slim chance to make a calital gain. If you calculate accirding to the number of years you will be staying in the property, you can get a better idea what to do about buying a property in developing countries.
With the same money you have Greece Spain Portugal Italy Malta Morocco Tunis Albania Croatia
Hi Alex, only found your channel today, binged it.. got an idea for a video - things to do to prep for moving over here to be in the best position
Sounds like a great idea. Thank you!
Will be interesting to see them try to repeal the weed thing, I am indifferent either way, but there are SO many shops, the commercial tenancy rates would tumble, also and I spoke with a German that owns a few weed shops in Bangkok, he said even I they repealed back to medical usage, all that happens is there is a computer with a web cam, on the other end of the web cam is a "doctor" ( and by the barest of legal definitions) who will consult anyone and ask a few questions and within 3 mins give you. a medical prescription..
wait I think I saw your filming this when you did it, are you down in Na Jomtien ?
Na Jomtien it is... You saw an old, tall, goofy dude with a slightly injured knee?? Then that was me.
very true, just found your channel, I have been coming here for 25 years and will be retired here in a few more years, I wish it was sooner but I am doing the hard yards now to have the retirement I want later.
So many wrong information ! The City Beach of Hua Hin is 6 km long, next to it Takiab Beach 8+km ! There are 3 Night Markets, 1 in town the other in Takiab THU-SUN ! There are 2 big Shopping Centers here ! No the 3 Hospitals are not close together ! The Government Hospital is out of Town about 6 km ! Next time do better research !
Ladyboy muggers (ugly ones) on motorbike jumpimg me from behind at 7am in Patong as I walked back from Family Mart to my room has been my only really bad experience. Meth addicts can be a problem with theft everywhere including small villages.
"sleepy"?
What do you think about Thailand's new tax law from January? Now, all money transferred from abroad to Thailand could be taxed up to 35%. Of cause for people who are there for 180+ days per year. It sounds like it could really add to the tax burden in Thailand, not to mention all the extra hassle with tax registrations and returns, right?
Great video , the UK is too expensive now for a nice retirement , I may look at a Thailand retirement visa , love the climate for jogging and golf. Thanks , liked and subbed.
Why is beach empty? I dont see anyone in water. Something wrong with the water?
No, I film in the morning. Gets busier later on
@@thailandwithalex If anything like Australia too bloody hot !
These were actually amazing tips
Hiii Alex....thanks....any Tennis there? Love the Golf.
To be honest, I didn't look for tennis courts. I'm going to be heading back there so I'll take a look
They got a big fancy tennis complex.
Thanks for sharing these thoughts and tips. Really enjoyed the video, and I agree with trying to find that middle lane and to keep things exciting and fresh. To me, however, the main problem with Thailand are the challenges to do part-time work or to volunteer as a foreigner. It's almost impossible to do those things legally, especially if you want to do multiple ones (for example, volunteer 2 days a week in a hospital, work at a cocktails bar during the weekends and coach a high school sports team 6 hours a week). Those things can be very enriching and missing that element is a cause of both boredom and concern for me. Hobbies, studying languages, working out are all great but they are not completely fulfilling to me. I like your idea of going back and forth between Thailand and home, and take advantage at home of the larger amount of part-time work and volunteering options. That could be a good solution, but not sure if it works for the long term. Anyways, if you have any thoughts or tips about this please feel free to share them :) And thanks for the video again.
Agree. Almost anything can be considered work.
Wise words ... 👍
There last weekend. Was 42deg and too hot to even walk on the beach 😅😅
Urgh
There is no free speech in Thailand
Well, if you own a car and drive ... good luck trying to find a place to park in town ....
