My name Is Jared, and im just a guy that love the outdoors. I have been hunting since I was just a little kid. I have a vast knowledge of hunting, hiking, shooting, and the outdoors. I decided after being a KZread fans of other channels that there was always something I would have wanted to learn more about, or something I thought should have been done differently. So I decided to make those changes in my own videos. I will include tech tips, field reviews, hunting films, and much more. I want to see questions and requests from anyone who watches my videos so that I can better explain each topic more. Thank you for reading about my channel. Glad I can make the charging handle loop instead of paying 50
Can a tight spot quiver be put on with this sight
Just bought one today
I thought the sky lid was incompatible with the col?
You did a great job on this video. You are well spoken, and organized. I appreciate the chapter breaks, and visual information added during the video. this made it efficient to look through what a person is really curious about if they don't have time to follow the full in depth review. thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the video man and walk around at the end as well. I just got my pack stolen out of my truck in Vegas at the silverton hotel and now on the search for the k4 model. I had the k3 4800, I love the horseshoe design but I never do any more than 3 day backcountry hunts. Is the 5000 too big you ever think? Im about 5'9 160lbs. I just want to buy one pack that does it all just torn between the 3600 now and 5000 size
I would do the 5000. It can size down really tight but will give you enough room to stay as long as you want if you do a 8-10 day.
I have gone through the process of leveling the string, then leveling the bubble in the sight housing to the string using the 2nd axis adjustment. When I clamp the Hamskea level to the slider, the slider is not level to the string or the sight housing bubble. Does this matter? Or do all 3 have to be level to each other (the sight housing bubble, the string, and the vertical slider bar)? How would I go about leveling the vertical sliding bar to the string if required?
Do you have to put a speedometer on yours?
In Washington I do not.
Sitting down sucks
Where did you get the headlight because your little kit doesnt have a headlight.
Baja designs
Coming soon at the theatre near you Still waiting
I tried it on with no weight it’s really light but the hip belt is not as comfortable as kifaru or stone glacier, just might be my body though
Exo hands down !
Tell ya what. You front me the $300.00 plus to 4 hundred for this baby. I might agree. Things are ridiculously expensive these days. Just being honest.
I tried both but I prefer my K4 and my Kifaru over Stone Glacier but still a nice pack
Looking at harnesses now. One thing I don’t see anyone talking about is the accessibility to the binoculars. Seems to me that having more of the binoculars exposed with the lid down, like with the Stone Glacier, would make them easier to remove.
8x42 best for FOV, clear view, rest and better in log light conditions
Great comparison - very well presented and useful thanks
Thanks for watching!
Great presentation and a useful demonstartion - thanks - 👍 and Subbed 🙂
Thanks for the sub!
@@rogueoutdoorshtkstw you are welcome - nice channel and content :-)
Exo without a doubt
Great job showing the difference at 20 yards. I just bought a bow from lucky shot yesterday. Great shop, super knowledgeable staff. Are you local here?
How did you find one of these, they aren't on the website anymore. I've been wanting to get one for ages. Thank you for the review.
They are selling them on and off. When their stock sells out it seems like they take them off the site. When I ordered it I got it from XOP, but I called them because it would not let me add it to my cart off the site.
I don't think they make them anymore, I can't find it anyplace.
Hi, the buckle strap is genuine leather or synthetic?
I believe it genuine leather, but would call them to make sure
lol
Nice people, i was in there today for the first time. good video.
Glad you enjoyed
Good comprehensive comparison of a lot of popular options. You talked me out of the Sitka harness as a possible option. They are about to release a new design, so I figure they will put the current one on closeout sale eventually. Btw there is an Amazon copycat of the AGC that is way cheaper. I've used several different ones and am currently running an old Tenzing OSS15. I will probably buy their new harness when it comes out soon. Browning and Bushnell also have some nice affordable options.
Thank you for the reply and added info!
Would you be willing to give one of those away 😁🤷🏾♂️
Haha not at the moment, I use them for teaching shooters often and showing new shooters how much an upgraded release matters.
@@rogueoutdoorshtkstw lol no worries my wife literally just got me one for fathers day…how ironic 😂
I’m looking for a new pan head for my summit carbon 2 tripod the vortex pan head that it comes with isn’t cutting it with the Ollin
Thank you for the support and for taking the time to make this video. We appreciate it. I swear we have some of the best customers! I can tell you definitely put a lot of effort and time into the video, so thank you again!
No problem, thank you for making such a good product!
Love the single hook, I’m over trebles nowadays
Great 70yd shot.. right in the centre.. i can hardly see the target at 70yds let alone thst black centre dot
Haha thank you!
Hahahah🤣🤣
The Mark IV is definitely the Sportster of the 22LR pistol world with all the third party upgrades available. Some sort of charging handle modification is absolutely necessary, as the stock grooves are literally painful to use. With that said, this upgrade might be nice for running steel at speed, but the Brownell's charging handle functions just as well or better for most situations at 20% of the cost.
I will have to give that one a try!
One of the better reviews on this sight I've seen. Most of them go over the entire setting up/sighting in and making it seem a bit more complicated than it actually is. I too got this for my Ventum Pro 33 and I love it. I also had the same thought process of buying the dovetail version initially, thinking in terms of future proofing, but also purchased the pic adapter later on which I now use exclusively. Overall, with it's bulletproof build quality and design it's one of the best sights on the market.
Thanks for the comment
I have been running an Exo since 2018 the k2 5500, it’s amazing to see how far they came. Awesome video brother. By far my favorite pack out there, for me it’s the simplicity to access the load shelf.
Thanks 👍
Would I have to change the tires on my crf250 to make it street legal?
It depends on the state you live in. I had to for the inspection
I use the Marsupial Enclosed pack with the FHF Gear Air Harness. It’s been a fantastic combination for me. I did not love the Marsupial harness. With no structure I found the straps almost always got tangled up when getting into the harness.
Thanks for sharing!
Best part about stone glacier is they cinch down so small, you can day hunt with a 6900 pack if you want! Hard to beat that versatility
Yep!
Mine is rather tight and doesn't snap out what would you suggest to get it to snap out?
I would call them and have them send another one. Or if you have a tool loosen the screw put some lube on the pin and tighten back up.
On the original video you were going to include if the bsf carbon barrel was more accurate/ better then the proof research barrel just curious what your opinion was between the 2 barrels
I ended up doing a review I was not able to figure out how to show on video. I tested with varying elevation, temperature and barrel temperature. I also tested different bullets. With each test I would find both barrels were better than the other. An example of that was I was shooting two 6.5 creed barrels. The BSF shot a specific Hornady hunting bullet way better than the proof, but the proof had a different weight Hornady hunting bullet it liked. Both were equally as good when shooting the right bullet. In the end it would come down to how much money you want to spend on your build and the specific ammo load you want. However that can be a shot in the dark if you don’t have the two barrels to try with what load you’re looking for. And I would also add it depends on what kind of accuracy you’re trying to get/ are capable of shooting. I’m not a crazy long distance guy. I’m happy with a 12x12 at 800 size group for hunting and both barrels can do that. I would pick whatever one is on the action you really like if it’s coming stock on a gun your looking into and if your building then the one with the best warranty if something does fail in the carbon process down the road. That was a lot of rambling, hope that helps some. Haha
What size do I need to fit the swarovski 10x42 nl? Will it work with the forehead rest protrusion?
Not sure with the head rest. I have not put that on mine in this harness. I would call stone and they will know.
$650?? I wish. Bidenomics.
Yeah inflation has gone crazy
I wish they still made this version of target. Went to their website and they only have the 48 inch target with 5 10 inch cores.
has anyone ever told u you look and sound like ryan callahan from meat eater
I have heard that at some trad shoots. Now I just have to meet him and get a picture. Would love to gain some of his knowledge as well!
Thank you for this video. I just ordered this sight for my dark owl scope and needed this detailed explanation. Much appreciated keep up the good work . (New subscriber as of NOW 👍👍)
Glad it was helpful!
super cool set up man. appreciate all the info!
Appreciate it!
The speech in the video is recorded well, the rest is terrible. You showed an image from binoculars with the quality of binoculars from the Second World War).
who is this guy? @UriRa? Go away lol
I just bought one for me and my brother, can’t wait
Still use mine and have had no issues after multiple years. It still looks new.
Exceptional review indeed… pls can u advise which I should go for between the EL 10X50 or the NL 12X42? highly appreciate it.… bear in mind Money is not an issue
What kind of terrain are you normally hunting? I would go the EL if I was in more brushy area and not trying to glass over 800 years often. If you want the better magnification go with the NL, but just know if your hunting 200 yards and in a lot, you will struggle compared to the huge field of view of the EL at 50mm.
Are the NLs worth the upgrade over the ELs? Thanks
