Thanks for posting! The ONE thing I came for is to find out how to get that damned third bolt off. I’ll try one of those little ratchets with a 10mm on my automatic, and if that doesn’t work I’ll start taking suspension off until I can reach it! Pretty much except your gonna have an extra hose that connects to your transmission cooler. In the e middle. It’s gonna be a 3 way connection almost dead center.

It’s for the trans mission cooler. You’re only gonna find that extra hose on cars with an N52 I believe. Don’t quote me on that. But that’s def what the other hose is for. I’ve done this job twice.

What’s sup! After installing the part and refilling your coolant reservoir, you do need to bleed it to get all the air bubbles out which is super easy to do if you look up the video But, if you meant that, if you need to drain the coolant to replace this part then no you don’t have to, but it would make it less messy if you did lol

It’s called a coolant recovery tank hose on the FCP Euro website, but as far as auto parts stores I think they would have to special order it I don’t think they would have it in stock

I'm a N55 owner, and I appreciate the video. We have a similar hose that runs the same route. Unfortunately, the N55 has two plastic clips in the center section. Over time, they get brittle and break. When this happens, the hose can rub against the crank pulley. Managed to catch it before it cut through. I'll be changing mine very soon. Thanks again.

The hose befor the water pump part is that a clamp because autozone sells that part but I’m not sure if I’m gone need for his this whole set up all I need is that part can u help me out

@@Everybodyshinetogether1all 6 of those metal bands on my 328i automatic are a single piece of steel, slightly crimped in a factory to hold them tight. If you try to use a regular screw radiator hose clamp to replace those bands you will likely crush the plastic connector - which would put you back to buying the BMW part (not any worse off).

This is probably the only video I can find on this and it's still not exactly what I was looking for. I've been trying to find a video showing the 07 n54 hose because there's a small horse shoe shaped hose we have and that's the part I'm leaking from. A shop wanted $1038 for labor and $330 for the hose, claimed it would be a 6 hr job🤡 You a 6 hr lie. Ima give you over 1,000 dollars to replace a $30 piece of rub and plastic🤣🤣 hopefully mine gets here Sat😮💨

The dealer wanted about $2,000 to fix the oil leak on my 328i xDrive, which I thought was crazy until I saw how much of the subframe you have to remove to get the oil pan off. Planning to DIY at some point, using shortcuts from other KZread channels.

I would definitely do the coolant reservoir first it’s easier and also the o ring on the lower hose, before doing the entire lower hose hopefully that fixes it
