Didn't realize I had already listened to a song here and there on KZread til I just now sought out his music here on KZread. Now I realize why the lady sitting mext to me seemed to know his music. My grandfather Gary DeHaan and Andrae worked very closely for a number of years together and Andrae was like a second father to my dad, Tory. I remember being in his church as a young kid listening to him tear it up on the keys. My dad is still heartbroken years later after Andrae passed. I definitely will live with his memory forever and I’m introducing his music to my kids.

I was about to die from an overdose in my apartment in Miami all alone after so many different drugs…I went to grab my phone and I couldn’t even see what I pressed and out of no where KZread started and this song played. My heart was beating out of my chest and then the room turned white and I felt at peace. My heart slowed down and I survived. Jesus Christ is real people. He saved my life.

Mr Hanes, there simply are not words sufficient with which to thank you for this Pure Treasure you and all those involved, have succeeded in presenting to those of us, upon whose lives this man, Mr Andrae Crouch, left an indelible mark. For those like myself, a little, naive, white girl in her very early teens, 1970's, living in Apartheid South Africa, exposed to the annointing of Mr Andrae Crouch and Ms Danniebelle Hall, opened up the influences of a musical genre that has singularly influenced every aspect of my life. I recall his gentle but enthusiastic and unpretentious manner those days, combined with his use of simple but heartfelt lyrics, undergirded with a Divinely Gifted Musical Genius that set the foundation upon which his life in music was presented to the world. I have been listening to him and his sister Sandra all these years, owned every vinyl he and Danniebelle ever released, and off course, many others to whom he introduced his audiences to, and now, in my early 60's, I unapologetically confess, still weep when listening to him sing.... that is, when not whooping for Joy. God knows, how much he was loved by so many and, from 'every tribe, tongue and nation,' and even through those earlier, very dark days, this young girl, who loved Jesus with All her heart, would pray for him and his loved ones that God would keep and protect Mr Crouch and his beloved ones from the attack of the enemy!! Thank you Sir, with all I am, for sharing this Annointed work, this Pure Treasure, with us.
