if you only judged by first two month revenue then no, there's so many people that already loyal and invest so much money on genshin, not to mention more generous dev tends to get smaller revenue obviously and to add another factor there's so many people that doesn't have good enough device to play Wuwa as for now BUT doesn't mean wuwa can't win in the long term, in the future there's more people that already have good enough device to play wuwa and if kuro good at managing this game then it doesn't take a long time for WuWa to have good optimization and make more people to try this game, and IF kuro can stay consistent to be a good dev then it just a matter of time until genshin player realize how bad mihoyo treat them, plus Wuwa could make lot of QoL update in the future which could make people interested later,,,, but nevertheless it takes A TIME and PROCESS but as for me as long Wuwa can stay in the top ten gacha revenue then i think it's good enough since that amount of money is enough to develop better content in the future

A good opinion, I respect it. Its not like WuWa will die, but it will have the same fate as ToF. Genshin Venti 1.0 banner made around 35 mill. $ on release, mean while WuWa got around 9 mill. $ so far. I hope that they will fix the optimization issue, because it takes for my friend 1 hour just to load in (He has almost a similar pc like mine, but bit worse GPU), while it takes for me max 20 seconds. UE4 doesnt have that much room to fix optimization in sadly, compared to Unity or CryEngine. I just want a healthy competitiom between WuWa and Genshin so both will trive to outdo the other. Being to generous is a bad thing tho, cause people will just lose the interest in the game, because they get everything in their hands.

Why does it have to be about win or lose tho. Genshin wont ever die to a competitor, thats just how it is. Both are fun games with their flaws, and Wuthering just launched, ridden with bugs, its really too early to talk about these things

@@latoxish9259 RTX 3070, and another 500GB SSD. Nothing special really, but currently running a GTX 1650, and its very bad to play with it these days. Environments refuse to load in correctly, or even not at all, textures are extremely pixelated at times 🤣

As a genshin player I am enjoying WW and it's dodge, parry, echoes but that doesn't mean I will abandone my home. But nevertheless, at this moment comparing both would be like comparing infant with an young adult. (Genshin was much optimised and good quality from start but it's not like there's no chance wuthering waves wouldn't be optimised in future, we should give it some time )

I agree that it doesn't hit the same as Genshin did when first starting. I also got hooked onto Genshin when I first discovered it randomly, and heard about this game before it dropped and got hyped for release. But Wuthering Waves just has this dullness to it. Not speaking about the darker art style, but it feels somewhat hollow. I really wanted to get super into this game but I feel like I'm forcing myself to try and enjoy it. It's a shame because I really love the combat.

i dont feel that way at all, the combat was very engaging, and the story, while at the start was really really slow and boring, stepped up at the end.. i don't understand the feeling of it being hollow, if you mean the setting, it makes since cause its a wartorn world. and it put you in the middle of this fight the world is facing, unlike with genshin where it put you after the events of the war. (we might go back in time tho to experience the world when it was at war, but whos to say) genshin feels like 70% filler 40% story. its picking up tho, it has maybe 3 more years untill the story of tayvat is over.

@@Honed- combat is sick, I agree, but its repetitive, there are no alternatives to defeat X monster unlike in jenshin (Elemental R, Freeze, etc.) . The story is slow, dull and repetitive, thats how I feel like about it. I can do a livestream tho playing WuWa if you want me to, maybe it can change my mind. Most of the issues tho cant be solved, since the game was made in UE4, they need to upgrade the engine.
