  I rode the Canadian back in 1986 - it went through Banff to Calgary instead of Jasper to Edmonton back then. I'm planning to take it from Edmonton to Toronto later this year.

  The mountains would be the highest I have ever seen. The only highest hill I have climbed is Mount Schank, near Mount Gambier in Australia. The train ride there would of been relaxing with the great view, I hope you had fun. Good video

  That was a natural cliff edge. Most likely due to glaciation making it so smooth.
