@@nickpro6731 But why? Why can't your goals be a byproduct of your companion's goals? Let's say the druid wants to live in the safe town. And are main protagonist just wants to keep people safe. Sounds like they would be a good candidate for the captain of the town guard.

Damn I wonder if there's a spell in Skyrim that lets you reanimate a Dragon corpse and yes I know you can just summon durnehviir but still it would be cool for a necromancer build to just reanimate one

I prefer the 3.5 requirements of "must be familiar with the animal" And familiar is defined as "having spent 8 hours per day for a number of weeks equal to it's HD studying it'

You could use Animate Object to create 5 animated corpses with 40 hit points, an Ac of 13, and an attack that does 2D6 +1 damage that are immune to turning, or you can use an upcast animate dead (Lvl 5) to create 5 zombies with 22 hit points, AC of 8, and 1D6+1 damage that can't stand up to any cleric of your level. The real question though is: Can you cast animate dead on an animated corpse? What would happen is you did?

If somebody cast animate dead on a animated object I would for sure rule that as a contested roll btween the 2 casters. I would probably say they add their spell attack to a d20 to make it fair.

That's when you get picked up and carried off by the dragon to have a make out session because your dragon hasn't seen you for a while because you were adventuring. The rest of the party goes on a quest to find you and rescue from the perceived danger you are in. When they finally track you down you're making out with a shape shifted dragon who looks like an elf.then someone will undoubtedly say , hey get a lair. The dragon will shapeshift back into it's dragon form and say we already did.

Yeah I believe raw, it kills whoever was polymorphed but I don’t really like this. Especially for moon druids because they have almost no options or creatures above 100hp so it’s kinda just sucky. This won’t be an issue in 2024 because it isn’t separate hit points all the shapechabge stuff just gives temp hp

I blanket rule that any ambiguity around character death is ruled in favor of the players (depending on the system/lethality of the game I'm running) Any player I kill with, "Meh, it's kinda vague, and even though RAW technically says you should live, I think your character should just die," is prolly not gonna want to stay at my table very long. I might hit em with a "-and in a flash of green light, Filbert transforms back into his original shape and falls, motionless, to the ground," just to fuck with em until their turn comes around n I remind em to read the polymorph rules

I rule power word kill as your heart literally explodes and my understanding of polymorph is that it's essentially a shape shift so you still need your heart in tact

If im doing it to a player, ill just kill the poly... raw says target creature, the thing that was poly was the target, it died and disappeared. The pc then reappeared. Im basically using yugioh or mtg rules to make it make sense.

My thoughts; Polymorphed creature is dead as the creature it polymorphed into, (and stays that way until concentration ends if another creature is concentrating on the spell) then when the spell ends the creature reverts back to their original form - still dead.

@@Billdow00 If my players were to use this on an NPC/monster, that's how I would play it out, unless given better reasoning. I wouldn't use this combo on a player. If something has both spells, it'll target different players with each.
