319 Reptiles is a family owned and operated reptile business based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and specializes in captive bred ball pythons.
Chris has kept reptiles as pets for over 30 years and believes in treating these amazing animals with the same care and compassion as other, more traditional, furry pets. Chris decided to turn this life-long hobby into a business with his wife and 5 children. Reptiles at 319 Reptiles are raised in a comfortable, caring environment, and exposed to frequent human interaction. We strive to train the majority of these snakes to accept frozen-thawed prey as a humane and safe feeding option.
The Ferenzi family currently keeps bearded dragons, geckos, ball pythons, milk snakes, corn snakes, and African house snakes as pets. A dog and three cats are also part of this active household and add the joy of caring for a variety of animals.

What morph is that, also my snake is the same way exploring around in his tank
She is a Cinnamon
The super black pastel is awesome. I named mine Ebony for obvious reasons. 😁
They are really cool 😎 👌
Great video ty😊
@@heatherbrunner2165 Thank you for watching and reaching out! It is truly appreciated!
@@319reptiles yw I'm going through Ben's watching your videos now LOL thank you for what you put out for us
I feed mine outside my encloser . So when i stick my hand in they dont think its feeding time duh
@chadmichaels3741 that can work, but this is an old belief in the hobby. You can do more harm than good with this practice. It can cause regurgitation handling immediately after they eat and can stress them out. If you open the enclosure to handle and to feed frequently they will learn it's not always feeding time. Ultimately, if it's working you though, keep doing what works. Thanks for the comment!
I like the esthetics of the CSerpent more than the VE. I have absolutely no space for a freedom breeder. So small racks for me.
adorable snek
Thank you!
Loved it man

what do the different colors and color patterns mean?
They are different morphs or genetic mutations. Most don't affect the animal and just make them a different color or pattern.
Bad snake
Stop falling for this shit....it does not work
Not sure of your experience with this, but it has worked great for me. I'm running 2 of these now.
There's a wild male who lives behind the cupboards in my kitchen. Named him skekGra. Can scare the daylights outta me when he does the call.
😄 That is awesome!
@@319reptiles He pays his rent by eating pest bugs
What morph is that? I know its a banana morph, but what makes them have so much white?
@bucket4944 they are both Lavender Albino
@@319reptiles oh, that's really cool. I have one regular and one super banana leopard
@bucket4944 Very cool! I Like Banana Leopard!
I'm really scared of snakes 😢😮
@IreneOgbebor no need to be! They are far more afraid of you! There many myths that paint them in a bad light, bud they are just livin' their lives out here like we're all trying to do. Give them a chance, it can be very rewarding!
Just about to get my first tokay geckos. Super glad I found your video! 🙂
Thank you for watching! Reach out if you have any questions!
@@319reptiles do you think 4x4x2 is too big for subadults? IS there such thing as too big of an enclosure for them…? Just wondering if I should buy a grow out tank
@allysontaylor7126 I think that will be fine as long as it has enough vines, branches, plants, cork rounds, etc. that they will have multiple places to hide when they want to.
Love this video 😊
Thank you so much! 😃

Manza Agamas are cool But I have always liked Burmese pythons
@ThisUserNameWasNotTaken I need to learn more about Manza Agamas and I agree about the Burmese! They are like amazing!
Definitely gargoyle geckos. I'm just obsessed with the variety of them
@allysontaylor7126 I love gargoyle Geckos, they are on my dream species list!

accurate and informative vid. i had to reintroduce my pair of tokays about 3 times until the male realized it was a female. i think it is best to introduce them in neutral territory
Couldn't agree more! Thanks for watching!
My firefly just had her pre-lay 2 days go too!
Very cool! Hoping for healthy hatchlings for you! 🤞

I love you guys making videos of the good old diy projects for the hobby. I’ve made many like this over 10 years. I used a “chicken egg incubator” thermostat on Amazon and an old bar fridge. Holds 10- 6 qt.
Thank you! The DIY stuff is awesome and fun. Especially for people just starting. I am working on an idea to do a DIY incubator that is a little more costly, but would be like the Wilbanks incubator.
My GBB after moved into new enclosure, she didn't move for couple of hours, now still doesn't move. Is it normal?
Yes, my girl dug a burrow behind the cork bark and stayed hidden for 3 to 4 weeks after this re-housing. I'm seeing her out more now.
They can be great eaters if their setup and care is on que. 👌
Very true!
What size enclosure is this one? Looking to get a bigger cage for my crested gecko
This is the 67 gallon from Dubia.com
Great video , you think you can do a in depth care guide on tokay geckos? Not a lot of information out there
Sure! I will work on it in the next few weeks

Ars racks beat pvc all day every day. Def worth the investment. Skip the hybrid go with all metal 5 lvls on one probe is quite a bit Imo built in water bowls suck. To small. Some want to soak Nothing personal but c serpants and ap r on the lower end of rack systems. I find they dont hold up long term. Just my exp
Thanks for the advice!
@@319reptiles sorry bud didn't mean to be critical at all. Just been there and given my two cents. 1 some really like to soak often a small bowl they can't. 2 hanging tubs r just so much easier to deal with! I actually prefer clear so they get a sense of day and night. Then most get a hide. The ars allows better air flow than any type of enclosed pvc system.
@@319reptiles and as far as ap or c serpents its mainly what u showed they're not very stable amd longevity is just not there. Many use them as they're the cheaper if ur goin new
@@319reptiles also i should say that the all steel racks do rust and that's something u have to deal with. Maybe the hybrids better for that? Idk never used a hybrid
@@mrmouse-ol9pw no offense taken. I sincerely appreciate learning how others do husbandry and learning new ways. Thank you!
What’s the care for tarantulas?
It will vary depending on what species you are keeping. For this GBB, I keep her substrate dry, water full, and feed her twice a week. For any other, definitely check out The Tarantula Collective.

I would highly recommend Vivarium Electronics racks. Reptile basics offers free shipping they are easy to put together and very strong compared to other pvc. Heat tape is also easy to put in and replace when needed. I have bought a few different racks and I'm slowly switching to all Vivarium Electronics.
Awesome, I will have to check them out! Thanks for the comment!
I agree. For pvc ve is pretty good. Still say hanging tubs r better for alot of reasons
Didn’t know VE offered free shipping. Last time I checked when I was shopping for one the turn around rate was pretty long and they didn’t offer free shipping. Free shipping actually makes a difference. It’s not cheap to ship these racks out.
@@Red-357 You aren't kidding. Shipping can be like 1/3 of the cost of the rack.
In the slow-mo he seems so premediated about that. Like it was an ambush attack of revenge. He was waiting for you. Or maybe this is his idea of what a prank is.

I dont think Zebra has the future that some claim it will. I wouldn't put it on a top 10. I think Cryptic has way more potential than Zebra. Also, Candy over Lavender all day. Lavender is the most over hyped recessive, in my opinion.
I'm not working Zebra, but I like the Zebra Pastel combos I've seen so far. I have some Crypton I'm working with and I love it. I Love Lavender Albino mixed with dark genes and I think Lavender Sunset has potential. I really haven't seen enough candy in person to comment on it.
