I second the goodwill comment. Warlord have always done me right when it comes to customer service and issue resolution. Thats not to say that I encounter many issues with their products, I haven't, but they have always been friendly responsive, and over deliver on service.
I love Warlord products, but I miss back when they had weird deals on their homepage, gotten a bit boring, gone are the great intro deals to start new armies while their prices are rising fast. Now 3rd will force players to waste money on new rules... But I will still give it a go

If I could change one thing about Bolt Action, I would seperate the number of activation dice from the number of units. Just to prevent players from having to buy cheap units just for dice. I'd also increase the ranges as they are too short as is. But that's an easy house rule so not that big a deal breaker.

I agree say you only get 3 dice per 5 unit, 6 per 10 and so on. So not every unit gets to do something each turn. It will stop the cheap unit for dice thing and it will prioritize your actions a bit more. Make the game more strategic.

My son and I recently bought “A Gentleman’s War” box set. Big fan of desert war. Models now made and pending priming. Looks great and can’t wait to play. Was very chuffed to get the code for 3rd edition rules. Never expected that and it really makes me want to play other Warlord Games games! Which reminds me that somewhere in my cupboard I have the excellent Cruel Seas.

I have some of the Oathmark elves too. I like them a lot, they paint up well and have just the right amount of detail to make the painting enjoyable. The Oathmark rules are also worth checking out

Simplicity is an elegance in itself. Part of the hobby is making the models come alive, tell a story. Whether it be through paint, display, or kit bash. Not every model needs their belt weighed down with trinkets or armor inscribed with a skull on every surface. Some times people just want a simple knight in armor with a tabard without it being overtly busy.

I don't mind. They are in units anyway. 5-10 cavalry, 20 or more infantry. Nobody is looking at individuals. There are metal hero packs too.

I really wish I had time to set up my resin printers, because there are amazing sculpts out there for a fraction of the price to free. That is the only way I see filling out an army.

Oathmark is the best value for money boxes I can find in my country, and their multi-part kits with LOADS of spares are great for making custom warbands for a wide range of games, nice to see them given some spotlight 😎🤙

Love the tutorial but my us field drab looks brown, yours is a nice green/ brown 😢 I don't know if I got a strange batch or what. I did primer in gray...maybe that's it

I have noticed Model Color line has a slight variance in color between batches. Have 3 bottles, one is more yellow, one is more light khaki, last being a color I call Breen. Considering the variance mishmash of uniform colors in historicals can add a bit of charm to an army.

re'installed to give it another try, ai improvements my ass, friendly ai still cant hit shit will not engage anything without being ordered and constantly walk in your face whilst enemy ai can shoot the dick off a bee on another planet, you spend more time repairing fkn mechs than playing them because your squad always gets them destroyed, put some rare ass expensive goober 9000 mk.2 gun on something and it gets obliterated in one fight.... game is tedious beyond belief no way would i buy dlc for this, disappointing because its such a cool concept for a game

This is the one the better and blunt description of problems with this game yet. Its why I eventually installed mods to turn tonnage and side quest limit off. Even a Steiner Scout Lance has a good chance to come home a stump.

I'm hoping they eventually do a "1st Somerset Strikers"-themed dlc as an homage to Battletech: The Animated Series, that shows the beginning of the Clan Invasion and gives us access to the Axman.

So it doesn't add anything significant to the game. Gotcha. Ray tracing critique was spot on, although I can't exactly say that I'm shocked about this development as optimization is not a priority among game devs in this day and age, flashy visuals and lackluster content is. I'm sure that modders will fix some of the issues. In summary, I can do just fine without this DLC. Hopefully their next game will be better. Thanks for the nice review, bro.

I got stuck at the 2nd to last mission beach head. Given how incompetent space sweden is during this campaign, i see why they got conquered and deserve to be conquered by the combine.
