Watch paystreaks videos. The newer machines especially the deus 2 like to be swung fast. Also i definitely wouldnt pay attention to vdi numbers. After awhile the tone will tell you whether its a good target.

@@VaAquarist thanks, this is the deus one, I do like to swing slow, perhaps I should lower my recovery speed if I want to swing slow, I do watch paystreak superfreak, I do dig the majority of beeps regardless of vdi, I just read the numbers out for something to say to the camera, although I might skip a target if it's reading below 45 or so as I'll think it's foil, still working on recognizing tones, dosnt help I switch between 5 tone and full tones often, I should stick to one or the other

Thanks, I thought it looked like a predator but wasn’t sure which one. I currently use a shovel that I made myself out of stainless steel sheet metal. It works but I just don’t get as nice of a plug. It’s also kinda heavy. I think I’ve got enough clad this year to pay for a new shovel.

@@jeffmontgomery6891 if you are digging in parks and lawns and such I reccomend it, if you are digging in forests or farm fields and such I would recommend a more heavy duty shovel to get though roots and stuff and grab more dirt per scoop, but I don't know which predator would be good for that

@@mikeycod7377 I found a similar bead last year, I just tested it, I think it's silver plated copper, the scratch looked copper on the stone, and when I dropped 18kt acid it turned blue like silver for a split second, but then disappeared completely like copper does, the Jessica chain I found did the exact same thing

Hi, just want to share how I do with the settings mode: I put my Garrett axe ace in us coins and I don’t not have to get out the scratch under 40. It works! I get since better finds and I avoid bottle capsules and scrap things. If you do not have this option, you could also discriminate all that is under 40. Hope I am clear cause first language is french

Another nice hunt gopher 👍 I forgot to tell you that the Vanquish goes deep depending on the sensitivity setting. Also your strongest beeps when you swing will be the center of the coil. Another thing don't trust the depth it lies 🤣🤣🤣

Yesterday I was passing by the elementary school near my house and noticed they were putting new fencing and they scraped a few layers of dirt in the curb strips in the parking lot 😎found a good amount of coins. Nice hunt✌️🍀

Hi i like your video's cause you go ordinary places in the municipality. You never know what you can find. I also do metal detecting in those places and i have find alot of little treasures: antic toys keys, jewellery not much but they are there!, coins of course! Hey brother i like a quiet Legend lol i set 5 tone first break i 1-11 but important to set tone volume to 1 hate hearing all that junk even my second break 12-23 at 3 then 24 to 26 high volume 27-36 back to 3 37 -44 about a 6 volume then bang 10 on the rest i am just mentioning as u asked me in the past for my program i like to run 40 khz never multi never did get your email so was not ignoring u awhile back

I normally discriminate up to 44 in the high trash areas. I have found many gold rings between 45 and 60..

@@Detect-Oregon there's not usually too much foil in this area, but occasionally I find some, I think I was discriminated to 6 in this video, whatever the default to deus fast is Sometimes when I just want to hunt for old copper and silver coins I'll discriminate to 80 in 14khz, but pulltabs kinda clip in and out at 80 so I dig them sometimes anyways even though I think it's a pulltab when it clips in and out The only gold ring I ever found was one number higher than a pulltab on the legend Tomorrow morning I'm going to check a really small spot that's just kinda a picnic bench in a little cubbyhole of an area, I expect to find mostly pulltabs and bottle caps as it's basically where people hide away to drink, maybe I'll try 44 discrimination there if I start hitting foil

@@bbodenthal5202 I kinda like the deus better, to me it seems more obvious what is a target, but the legend definitely hits harder on deeper targets, I don't think I've dug anything coin sized very deep with the deus HF coil, the deus is lighter too, but the deus is horrible on the beach, but maybe it was user error but I couldn't get the thing to ground balance and it was screaming on the black sand, it was a fresh water beach too not salt water, any beaches from now on I'll use the legend, legend has multifrequency too where as the deus HF coil is just 15khz, 30khz and 74khz, so less frequency options than the legend, but higher as the legend only goes to 40khz, I also keep the deus box on my go pro strap and not my shaft, so I feel like I'm learning the tones better on the deus than the legend, I only look at the numbers half the time on the deus, and mostly just for something to say to the camera, I had already decided to dig the target before I say the numbers But if I could only have one detector I'd probably go with the legend, as I think having the option to switch between multi frequency and single frequency is worth choosing the legend (or equinox if your a Minelab fan, although I've never used an equinox but I seen many KZreadrs use it)

@@ParkMetalDetecting recover speed? On the deus I run it at 3, on the legend 6, maybe if I was trying to go deeper I'd run it lower and swing slower, but I'm almost never trying to go deep
@digginggopher I like to run more recovery/sepration too. I just don't like to swing slow... now, if old silver was around, that would be a different story!

@@yodieandme.5801 I found a sterling silver match safe from the Victorian era, but it was heavily damaged, so my best find was probably a 18kt gold ring with diamonds chips and emeralds
@@yodieandme.5801 oh and when I said hello half way through the video, a guys husky came right up to me, I saw him in the exact same street last week too, both times he passed I dug out a penny, that's why he asked if I found a coin again, I should have turned the camera onto the dog 🐶🐕

I normally discriminate up to 44 in the high trash areas. I have found many gold rings between 45 and 60..
@@Detect-Oregon there's not usually too much foil in this area, but occasionally I find some, I think I was discriminated to 6 in this video, whatever the default to deus fast is Sometimes when I just want to hunt for old copper and silver coins I'll discriminate to 80 in 14khz, but pulltabs kinda clip in and out at 80 so I dig them sometimes anyways even though I think it's a pulltab when it clips in and out The only gold ring I ever found was one number higher than a pulltab on the legend Tomorrow morning I'm going to check a really small spot that's just kinda a picnic bench in a little cubbyhole of an area, I expect to find mostly pulltabs and bottle caps as it's basically where people hide away to drink, maybe I'll try 44 discrimination there if I start hitting foil
So how do you like the Deus over the Legend?
@@bbodenthal5202 I kinda like the deus better, to me it seems more obvious what is a target, but the legend definitely hits harder on deeper targets, I don't think I've dug anything coin sized very deep with the deus HF coil, the deus is lighter too, but the deus is horrible on the beach, but maybe it was user error but I couldn't get the thing to ground balance and it was screaming on the black sand, it was a fresh water beach too not salt water, any beaches from now on I'll use the legend, legend has multifrequency too where as the deus HF coil is just 15khz, 30khz and 74khz, so less frequency options than the legend, but higher as the legend only goes to 40khz, I also keep the deus box on my go pro strap and not my shaft, so I feel like I'm learning the tones better on the deus than the legend, I only look at the numbers half the time on the deus, and mostly just for something to say to the camera, I had already decided to dig the target before I say the numbers But if I could only have one detector I'd probably go with the legend, as I think having the option to switch between multi frequency and single frequency is worth choosing the legend (or equinox if your a Minelab fan, although I've never used an equinox but I seen many KZreadrs use it)
