in the last clip the brick gable has clearly been put up before the inside blockwork and is still vulnerable to the wind. they are inside trying to get the interior blockwork up, should never have been done in that order.

Exterior walls arent load bearing. The inside of the cavity wall is load bearing

Ex Brickie here. I kept away from site work. Bricklayers now, have to build to dummy frames, and I'm not sure if they can put up corners anymore. The industry has dumbed down roofing, so that anybody can set up a roofing firm.

When I discovered this channel, I thought he was taking the piss and trying to get some cheap laughs by setting up these scenarios. But the more I watched I realised these were actual inspections...WOW. I just cannot believe that builders are that incompetent to try and hand over houses in this condition. Absolutely flabbergasted. Keep up the great work Mate.

The inner and outer walls of our long row of semi-detached houses were replaced about 20 years ago due to rotted ties. Our walls, and those of our attached neighbour's walls, have "vents" (missing mortar between adjoining bricks) 4 courses above the top of the downstairs windows, spaced every 4 bricks around the entire exterior wall. They are also in the course directly above the upstairs windows, also spaced every 4 bricks. But the semi-detached houses either side of our do not have any at all, and would have been rebuilt during the same period. I questioned this, and was told it was "down to the brikkie doing the job".
Some of them.perps look a lot bigger than 10mm I want to see every joint 10mm Im not q bricky but build my own double garage and every single joint is 10mm but im yet to wall or house built by a bricky with all perps not obviously bigger or smaller than 10 mm
