    I bought a 81 CB750 Custom when I was 16 back in 1990. Had 26,--- on it and Paid $1800 for it. LOVED IT! Only dumped it one time due to the city just laying FRESH Gravel on the highway and I was making a turn but as slow as I could. Rear Tire slipped. Bent the handlebar. Was 50yrds from work where the boss man took a torch and bend it back into shape. Had it 9yrs.. Missed it. Traded it for a R/V and got $2500 for it. 2020 and get the Stimulate Check.. Found Another, Same year, Same Backrest and Luggage Rack Plus a Front Cowl in NEW Shape but not attached and some other random pieces. $2200... Had 27,--- on it. Started Right Up and Sounded Good. Got it home and Rode it 4 times before it went to Shit on me.. Guy got it running Just Enough to Sell it.. 2024. Got it back from the Shop and cost AROUND $5,000 to Rebuild the engine. Still needs Minor work done to it like, Exhaust that Leaks at head, Lower End gone through, Struts and Shocks and other Minor Stuff. Had to have New Tires, Breaks and Cylinder, Seat, Chain and other Minor Stuff. Is Ridable and has less than 400m on it at time of posting this. Exhaust is missing the Single Hole Option and has the Multi Hole One or Original Owner Messed around with them. My Original One had the Single Hole Ones. So it's Louder than my Original One. Same Blue Color as my First. Has a Shield in front of the Gauges that helps aim air away from my face/head so I Can Wear a Friction/Elastic Fit Baseball Cap while doing 50mph. Dumped this one while Parked because my Shoelace got caught on the Kickstand and just laid it down trying to get it untangled. Couple of guys just got done pulling in at the Gas Station it happened at and helped me get it off my leg. We Laughed. Did Snap the Clutch Lever but was still usable. Needs a Good Cleaning. Gas Tank Interior could use one also but is clean enough to use.. Will be putting 100% Gas in it and Not the 10-15% stuff. May Cost more but worth it.. NOT Getting Rid of this One.. Is A Little Harder now getting On and Off at my age. Legs don't like to go that high anymore. Wish Idiots would STOP Turning them into Cafe Racers. Not sure if I want to put the Color Matching Cowl on or not. Would make it look more like a Gold Wing. But was told I would get worse Gas Millage. I am getting about 40mpg and even Saw 50mpg. Filling up every 100miles to help keep Tank Clean and Gas Fresh. May cost ( at time of posting this ) $4.00 a Gallon and not the $3.25 of the 10-15% but Worth it. Peace and Enjoy!

    I'm just working on a 83 CB 750 sat since 1990 8,000 miles on it. Was at dad's junkyard after a day of soaking cylinders with breakaway penetrating oil crank started moving. Removed valve cover n soaked valve's. Engine turns nice n has compression. What is the trick to removing baffles ?

    Step up to 70/105 jets. 1 3/4 turns out on the pilot screws. That should be a good starting point. Keep the stock air box if you’re going to keep the stock CV carbs. Don’t mess with Pod filters unless you switch to Mikunis. And last but not least, favor the rich side because with more exhaust flow these engines like to burn exhaust valves when they run lean

    Thanks buddy! I feel horrible about cutting those mint condition OEM 4-4 pipes. I actually sold that 750 shortly after this video was made. However, Im looking for another one now for a build I have in mind. It will be aesome when I get it and build it! DelKelvic 4-1, powdercoat alot of parts black, nice tires and hooligan style bars.

    Are you still running the thunderheader? How has it held up over the years?

    Can you tell me how you restored or what you did to the mufflers? I have an 80 CB900C and the mufflers are rusted through. Love the 4-4 look and want to maintain it as much as possible. Looking to cut off the old muffs and either slip or weld new ones on

    Did you even pull your reserve manually? Couldnt see it clearly... You shouldnt rely on mard / rsl..

  • @MrWooHoo26
    @MrWooHoo263 жыл бұрын

    My SOP is as follows- fight to recover if malfunction is only partial until my hard deck of 1600ft. If I here that hard deck ditter go off, I look down, grab both, pull right, look up to see my main has fully cleared then I pull left for reserve if necessary. I happen to own the best on the market arguably, IPT Vector with SkyHook and it beat me to the punch. 🤘 That’s the SOP the USPA is teaching these days.. but your statement is fact! Never trust the RSL or MARD system!

  • @MrWooHoo26
    @MrWooHoo263 жыл бұрын

    And after this first cutaway, jump number 534. I bumped my hard deck up to 1,800ft due to the fact that after I finished kicking out of my reserve line twist I was already at 800-750ft.

    Picked up a super clean '05 Dyna Lowrider (carbureted) with straight pipes, only 6,500 miles. Going to install a Thunderheader in an attempt to gain some back pressure and torque. Are you running a stock Harley carb? If so I presume you had to re-jet? Have you done any more mods since posting this video? Thanks ...Rick
