  *clears throat* Depression also be like when you make a sandwich, the best sandwich you've ever made, and you put it onto a plate. Then, you get distracted for a moment, and then during your brief moments of distraction, you feel the plate lighten suddenly. Too late, your gaze snaps back to witness the sandwich, your beloved sandwich in which you carefully crafted, fall to the floor with a depressing _fwap._ You gaze at your fine creation, lying motionless on the floor, some of its contents spilling out. Your sandwich.... your beautiful, delicious sandwich. For a moment, it seems like all hope is lost. It's gone. Ruined. Your world seems to collapse around you (and so does your stomach, damn you forgot to eat breakfast too.) Then you remember. You can still eat it! It may be a little messy, but you can still pick the dear thing up off the floor and back onto the plate. Perhaps things are not so bad after all! You feel a hope beginning to lighten your spirits as you gingerly take the sandwich and place it back onto your plate, handling it as if it were your child (which doesn't exist because you're neither married, employed, or doing anything with your life right now, and you hesitate, but continue on.) You rearrange the slightly sloppy sandwich, and sit down at the table, ready to inhale the entire thing in a matter of seconds, because you once again remember about how you forgot to eat breakfast (you were fixing a hole in the wall.) You take a bite out of the sandwich, savoring the moment as the different tastes filter through. You begin to chew, and suddenly you remember. You dropped the sandwich onto the floor. The floor your mother told you to mop several hours previously. You peer down, and realize quite how dirty it is. You stop chewing. You also recall that your younger sibling threw up onto it too, and while you did clean it up, it was a _proper_ clean. You glance carefully at the sandwich in your hands, and can distinctly see a small layer of grime and dirt on it. You gag. You spit out the bite you just took, and then through the entire sandwich in the bin. Then you are assailed by a moment of guilt. Some poor, broke kid in some poor broke country would've eaten it, no matter where it were dropped. Maybe it's not too late, you think. You peer into the bin to see if you could fish it out - but no, it's landed right on top of a moldy, squishy tomato, which burst when the sandwich made contact. It stinks. You gag again, and make a hasty retreat. No breakfast, no lunch. What were you going to do? You check the fridge. Nothing else to make another sandwich with. You sigh. There was nothing. You feel nothing. Your stomach protests angrily. Nothing to feed your poor, sandwichless soul. So you get out your phone and start doom scrolling on whatever social media you got (just to make everything worse.) The End. (Although not really, because eventually things start looking up when your best mate walks through the door with chicken nuggies)

  That was a very well thought-out illustration... But similar to what you said at the very end... there will always be somebody who comes in with a full hot meal just for you... whether you asked for it or not... and all it takes is to heal from that traumatic experience of eating dirt... that feeling of repulsion at the thought of eating sandwiches because of this terrible experience... eventually healing and getting back to normal... never alone... You may be hungry but you never have to starve to death when you have the bread of life. 🍞✝ "And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life.   When people say I’m a dog dad is freaks me out. I take care of my dog, he’s not my son. Same thing here. Omega isn’t a pet, but I think it’s weird to say Hunter is her dad. They all take care of her in their own way. Wrecker allows her to be a kid, Echo teaches her how to be an effective soldier, and Tech taught her the importance of knowledge. I’d say they’re more like siblings than parent child
