Hello! My name is Maxim Kozlov. I created Cellopedia as an educational channel with a goal of providing free cello lessons and helping to learn how to play cello to students of all skills and ages, especially those without an opportunity to work with a private cello teacher. We will practice together all scales, etudes by Dotzauer, Lee, Kummer and concert music, including Suzuki Cello School.

I am 17 I started learning cello six months ago and now a week ago I started learning cello suite 1
I used a sheet music that I found on the internet but watching your video I realized that I used some of the wrong fingers. Sonically it was identical, but the fingers are wrong. Could you make the sheet music available? Big hug and Brazilian greetings
Amazing!!😊 Very good:)
Another great lesson 😊
Thanks!
Thank you for your support! I will keep making videos for this method
Wow, somehow in all my lessons, I did not learn about shifting this way, or combining shifting and extensions as appropriate. Sending a thank you. This was gold!
What etudes do you recommend to start practicing for thumb position?
Good question! I put couple of links for them in the description.
Feuillard's Cello Method for young cellists 49-56 and F. Grant no. 170 - 177
I can print the etudes from imslp. Thank you for responding to my query; it means a lot to me.
Very good tips. Marcos from Brazil
WOW YOU PLAYED ALLLL THE NOTE SOO CLEAN 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
What BPM do you play the fast section?
Cellopedia is really helping me practice. Thank you, cellopedia!🎉
oh no too difficult for me. But i would like. but it's a little late now.
Do you like playing in thumb position? Any advice for other cellists? Show your thumbs up 👍 or down 👎
I just can't transfer over to the thumb fast enough so I tend to stretch
@@Doge_Coin1111 we can sometimes do it too!
What level do you need to have to play this study n°7?
I would say upper intermediate. Are you thinking about learning it?
I love this piece! You help me a lot when it comes to piece like this. I put on headphone and follow along with the slow version :) This piece is beautiful and I’m getting the hang of playing in treble clef too!
Thank you so much for your kind words! What will be the next concerto for you to learn?

I am a citizen of the world! What is your country?

How long have you been playing cello?
Yes!! So true this these exercises are the foundation of so much music. I wish I had done these before joining (very back row) community orchestra. Better late than never? I am so grateful for all of these lessons!
In my experience, the one who is enjoying the process of learning, makes the fastest progress 🔥
@@Cellopedia Well now I will make you blush because I have never enjoyed practice until having you to “hold my hand” as it were. In fact I have been really bad about practicing. Your videos are saving me! 🙏🙏🙏

The banana council disapproves of this
Page 24 if you have the book. These lessons are so great. Thank you.
Tutorial? I kind of get confused because of the different clef and flats. It would be REALLY great and REALLY helpful if you made a tutorial! Also very beautifully played!
Thank you! I am thinking about making another Udemy course to include this piece!
@@Cellopedia Awesome! I’ll be waiting! 😊
Grazie. Per favore, puoi aggiungere anche sottotitoli in italiano?❤
Non parlo in questo video musicale, suono solo il violoncello.
I love how you’re wearing the same shirt in your other French Folk video 🥹 Thanks so much for this
You are very welcome! I am trying to be consistent with my shirt technique ;)

How long do you play cello?
Amazing,I'll try to play it today
Bravo! Bellisimo
Doing this series with you. Cannot thank you enough! As an ADD, I struggle to practice alone. Your videos are life-changing and I know I will improve immensely over the summer. The book is open on my stand already for tomorrow and every day now.
Thanks!
Thank you again for your support!
The play-alongs are so helpful! I am in a meetup where I am the only cello and I have a lot of trouble when the rhythms are very different from the others. Playing along with you has made me improve so much. Brilliant. Thank you.
You're so welcome!
Thanks for the good vid
Glad you enjoyed it! What is your next piece to learn?

You got the best attitude for success ❤️

Wonderful! What are you going to learn next?
Anyone have tip to remember a hole song because I have a test later 😢
I struggle with "mosquito" vibrato - its similar to your third example. Thanks for this.
I like the word “mosquito”. Would it describe faster vibrato than “electric shock “🫢?
@@Cellopedia yes - mosquito meets bug zapper (hence electric shock)
