Hello! My name is Maxim Kozlov. I created Cellopedia as an educational channel with a goal of providing free cello lessons and helping to learn how to play cello to students of all skills and ages, especially those without an opportunity to work with a private cello teacher. We will practice together all scales, etudes by Dotzauer, Lee, Kummer and concert music, including Suzuki Cello School.

I love how you’re wearing the same shirt in your other French Folk video 🥹 Thanks so much for this
thanks
How long do you play cello?
Amazing,I'll try to play it today
Bravo! Bellisimo
Doing this series with you. Cannot thank you enough! As an ADD, I struggle to practice alone. Your videos are life-changing and I know I will improve immensely over the summer. The book is open on my stand already for tomorrow and every day now.
Thanks!
Thank you again for your support!
The play-aligns are so helpful! I am in a meetup where I am the only cello and I have a lot of trouble when the rhythms are very different from the others. Playing along with you has made me improve so much. Brilliant. Thank you.
Thanks for the good vid
It sounds so good, what cello is that?
Thank you ❤️Unfortunately, I couldn’t find out much about provenance of this cello. It was damaged and repaired many times before I got it. I love it for it is ❤️
Buongiorno Max, purtroppo non riesco a scaricare PDF. Potresti aiutarmi per favore? Grazie

Thank you so much for this incredibly helpful video! 🙏
Glad it was helpful! What is your next piece to learn?
I’m a 10 year old cellist and I practice this pieces 1 hour daily. Pieces such as Suite No. 1, Gavotte, and Scherzo and watching these videos really help. TJANK YOU CELLOPEDIA!!!!
*These pieces *THANK YOU
Thanks!
Listening to it at 2x speed is even better if you want to understand it more😂❤
Great idea 💡 Have you tried 8x ?😂
I am also a cellist like you. You perform very beautifully. We like you a lot ❤🤞
Thank you 🙏 It is good to hear that from a colleague ❤️
This years all state stuff was also my highschool audition (I got into the highest a freshman can make🔥)
So happy for you ❤️
Thank you so much for sharing great tips on how to do vibrato. Now its time to work and play a lot. Thanks.
You got the best attitude for success ❤️
thank you~ for this video❤️I'm 12y learning this
Wonderful! What are you going to learn next?
Anyone have tip to remember a hole song because I have a test later 😢
I struggle with "mosquito" vibrato - its similar to your third example. Thanks for this.
I like the word “mosquito”. Would it describe faster vibrato than “electric shock “🫢?
@@Cellopedia yes - mosquito meets bug zapper (hence electric shock)
What kind of mistake do you think is the worst? Here is in depth tutorial to learn how to play with vibrato kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZht18h7o8Woobg.html
I think my arm is tense, not loose. Maybe my hand is tense as well.
This is the most common problem we have.
Very good, but can you explain the correct model to play ?
Here is the detailed tutorial How to Play Vibrato on Cello | Cello Lesson for Beginners kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZht18h7o8Woobg.html
Thanks for your advice... The mistake 2 and 3 are The worst.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for support!
Thank you so much! It's most helpful when you know what bad technique looks like
Glad it was helpful! I sometimes catch myself making some of these mistakes :)
Todo perfecto : piano , cuello, !
Thankyou
These are so great! I have a lot of trouble making myself practice, but not with these. I look forward every day. Also have done / will do your Udemy classes. What a bargain! I watch the video on my iPad and play the sound through an external speaker. Wish I knew about these back when I needed a good foundation. Better late than never! Thank you!
Thank you, as always ❤️
Maxim, can you help me out. At the top of this etude is says - Petit detache. What exactly does that mean? I know what detache means, but wanted to get your expertise on what "petit detache" actually means. I see that you are mainly using shorts bow strokes, keeping it in the center of the bow. Appreciate our help.
Hello! A good question! It is quite rare to see petit detache. I believe it is a term to make a distinction for gran detashe when you have to use a lot of the bow for each note. This is why I use detashe with fairly little amount of the bow for each note.
@@Cellopedia Thanks for the clarification.
2 years, Haydn c concerto
Amazing 🤩 What’s next?
Я это сейчас разбираю❤
Brilliant video, thank you, will you be doing any Udemy courses on treble clef? I've just started on movement 1 but a bit stuck on treble clef and I'm desperate to play this. Thankyou.
Thank you ❤️ Udemy courses take months to make, but I should be able to make a video at some point…
Wonderful
Amazing, beautiful and so professional! I like the tempo and how he had his eyes CLOSED THE WHOLE TIME!!!!!!!
P.S. Still a child hehe
💚💚
I love how you help us with very slow speed
If this video gets 100 likes, I will make the next one for Piatti Method :)
Hello could you please play Concertino 3 by breval in A major
I would be happy to do it if I had sheet music. Could you send cello and piano parts of all movements to cello4you@gmail
@@Cellopedia yes, I tied using that email but it never works
what is the fingering pleaseee
Thank you so much, but my C and G strings do not sound half as good as your cello sounds. could it be i am just a beginner or the strings will sound better after playing and practising for a while. Thank you for the nice demonstration and I am learning this piece as my etude.
So happy videos like this exist! As a guitarist I always listen to a song while learning and I’m doing the same on cello so I can understand rhythms just a bit better and this makes it so nice!!
Could you Do Sebastian Lee 3 Duos Duo 1 Op .39?🙂
It's been so long, I always came to your channel when I practiced as a kid for videos and tips. Now it's been 6 or 7 years, I'm so glad to see you're doing well!
Thank you for sharing this😊😊😊
You play so good😮😮
Hey, been a big fan for a while! Any tips when learning this other than just going slow😂
Are you doing it for region like the rest of us? You can start by removing the slurs and play each note in the correct position and tone. Then you can slowly add slurs and dynamics. If you have a private teacher ask her. Or him. Hope this helps.
How do you learn the octaves, that’s what I struggle with the most
