@jtman23906 - Muslims have guidelines of what to wear - both men and women - u might find it unfair but Allah asks it of us and a believer believes what their creator wants is the best - Islam is not sexist and if u know the religion then u would understand the reasons if u dont know why we do it ask some muslims sisters - non arabs even new muslims and u will see how and why they do it

@soplumnj - Assalam Aleikum this statement is misleading we are required to cover our faces - Sahih bukhari being once source. I understand you want to be fashionable but most muslimah are - At home. Not outside - we have been given guidelines for our dress and Allah knows best, Our clothes are not adjustable for fashion reasons they are to please Allah, nothing more

astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah, astaghfirullah .. this is not the teachings of islam for women to look attractive.. may Allah guide these nadaan (naive) muslimah .. go back to history and see for yourself, what clothing did bibi fatima wore ? she surely will be ashamed to see her offspring going astray in the name of "hijaab" without properly covering themselves.

well I m dressing modestly, not wearing the headscarf though. I ve actually been "interrogated" by Muslim Saudi friends the most who are forced to wear abaya in Saoudi, but once in Europe on holidays or work trip, they love dressing differently, with cleavage and everything. I always wear a colourful cute "undershirt" for cleavaged tuniques or dresses. You cant imagine how you re "squeezed" out exactly by them on why i choose to dress in this manner. else no one has bothered me for long sleeves!

Ok let me rephrase that.If a woman is dressed in a mini skirt and a tank top,are you unable to see her as a normal person.Would you go mad the moment you saw the womans uncovered legs and not be able to function like a decent human yourself?

Islam does NOT tell you to kill unbelievers unless unbelievers are killing you. And of course many other things have to happen - read chapter 9 from BEGINING to end with explanation! beautiful and respects non Muslims! don't lie fahimuk.

I agree! I'm not Muslim, Jewish, or Christian, but I'm considering wearing a head covering. I'm wearing Islamic style clothing for my wedding this June, complete with Al-Amira Hijab and longer scarf. I think it's just beautiful.

Im jewish but i really love hijab. I just started a new job and i decided that i didnt want all the men staring at me and to know me for my abilities instead so now i wear it jewish style - tied at the back and with an underscarf but when i go outside i put on a longer scarf over the top - hijab style - i think it looks beautifull and i can be confident when i walk down the street.I think all women should wear hijab no matter what their religion.

Dear sisters, Salam allaikom to all of you..sisters, make up, tight clodes and pumps-high hel shoes, will just make us look sexy in the eyes of men, and that is not what we should want, think about it, if a man gets turned on by one of you wen your in make up and such, who will get the blame ? fitnah..as muslims we should love being modest, pleace dont be like the non muslims. if you act like them you will be raised with them on the day of resurrection. salam

Personally, I feel uncomfortable when a person is talking to me with his/her face covered. Through the t.v, internet or in person, I mean if somebody is talking to me, it's only human , I think, that I should be able to identify them.
