  I cannot express the emotions going through my mind when my first child, born just 22 short yrs ago this July, walked up to the presenter, looked her straight in the eye while shaking her hand( something I taught her as a young girl),gave her an accomplished yet grateful smile then to do thr same to the the president. My first “ miracle” the creation of two loving parents, now grown into a beautiful young lady. Naturally I’m biased but my daughter Emmy, i believe is the definition of what a lady truly is. I’m on top of the world today

  I struggled to overcome so fucking much to finally attend college as an English major. I was torn between the creative writing track and literary studies track. My advisor encouraged me to take her class. On the first day of the semester I was overcome with the nausea of severe anxiety as I sat in her early morning class. She asked me why I signed up, and I sputtered and stuttered to give her a reason. She humiliated me in front of the class. I’ll never forget that day; and to this day I HATE Leigh Wilson for that!

  My brother Carl went there in mid 70's... he's passed but I remember we'd spend time together on campus when I was young. Beautiful!
