    I use fsd myself and my only issue with this video is the amount of confidence you have in the system. You're way too confident man. I get it. There are aggressive drivers but you can't blame them when clearly the system cut them off. It was literally hesitant about switching lanes then went for it. Then like others are saying it literally blew that stop sign. You didnt even attempt to take over and even if it were clear..... Had an officer been around you would have gotten pulled over and ticketed. Paul i like your videos i really do man but you can't pretend like this system is so amazing when its making dangerous mistakes like that and you still need to take control when it does.

    I keep thinking about how a system like this could run in the background on all vehicles as a safety monitor. It could be as unobtrusive as possible, to the point where most drivers were unaware of its presence, and would intervene only when a driver was about to make a serious mistake, and run a red light, change lanes into another car, hit a pedestrian or cyclist, go the wrong way on a freeway, or rear-end a stopped vehicle. In fact, I'd imagine that something like this will become mandatory in the future. Tesla might be able to sell this system to all other manufacturers. I cannot help but think of all the lives that could be saved.

    I'm halfway through the Tesla 30-day free trial and it's absolutely no way I will ever pay for FSD I drove 250 miles on the interstate and it worked ok except for the one time when it pulled over in front of an 18-wheeler within 10 ft but in the city no waits too long to break almost always goes beyond regenerative braking excessive acceleration sometimes will ride the center line on a two-lane road wants to make a left hand turn on a road where there is no road Google maps on my phone does not do that sometimes it will follow the car in front of it way too close in my subdivision the speed limit is 25 the car will go from 20 to 35 mph and cannot keep a consistent speed you want to yell at the car and tell it to just relax and drive

    I don;'t know how you guys say Fsd is so great. I'm in NYC as well and the thing needs interventions all the time. The most common mistakes are navigation errors, where it takes the wrong exit pretty often. I've yet to see that replicated in any FSC video. Maybe it's something wrong with my car? 2021 Model 3 LR Oh...and it's supposed to be able to avoid potholes but it never does, always crashing full speed in the worst potholes of NYC. I have learned to only use it on smooth roads or highways.

    FYI your highway stack is not the same as what we have in the UK or is not as limited as ours. If a car ahead is too slow, FSD does not ask to change lane to go faster.

    We use FSD and it has very few interventions. One edge case we observed, was the vehicle wanted to take the toll lane, but we did not want to pay the toll, so we had to intervene to keep it in the normal lanes. One issue with the concept of having personal vehicles as robot taxis is the wear and tear by the clients and the insurance costs. I prefer to look at FSD as a great tool to help older or handicapped drivers maintain their transportation independence longer at a lower price than installing devices such as hand controls. Your vehicle is running on Hardware 3.0, thus people can buy any Tesla built in 2017 and after to get the same experience with FSD. No other automobile manufacturer keeps providing additional functionalities to existing vehicles like Tesla. Enjoy watching videos from the NYC area, which offers different challenges for FSD than California.

    My biggest issues with FSD right now are related to navigation and just not making lane changes when it’s pretty obvious that it needs to or can/should. Also it loves to sit at 10-12 mph over the speed limit. Otherwise it’s a big improvement for smoothness and left turns in traffic.

  • @richarda3659
    @richarda3659Ай бұрын

    I'm not the author, but to answer your question, the consensus seems to be that using FSD is more stressful on version 11 but definitely less stressful on version 12. Most users need some time to build trust in the system, and learn where its shortcomings are so they only need to be on high alert under those unusual cases.

    It’s very good but still makes some mistakes and you definitely have to keep a close eye on it. Most common error I have is being in the wrong lane. For example the lane the car is in turns into a turn only lane, and of course the car doesn’t know that frequently until it’s too late to move over due to traffic. Or it waits too long to move into the turn lane in heavy traffic and then has to either squeeze in between two cars or frequently has to brake kinda hard to get behind a car to be able to make the turn. Also it frequently accelerates to hard for conditions and then brakes too hard, making the ride a little unpleasant for passengers. But overall it’s a vast improvement over the previous version.

    Someone here added that, despite FSD running the stop sign and EV Traveler not even noticing, the AI was carefully watching the roads from all directions and ran the stop sign while carefully and safely merging into an empty lane, which it would not have done had there been any traffic. I suppose that's probably true.

    at 17:28 FSD fails to stop at a Stop Sign,,, however, IT IS the divers responsibility to make the stop if fsd fails to do so. FSD is only to be used while being supervised,,, anyway, it ran a stop sign, drivers fault, driver was aware that it was going to happen and allowed it to happen because he saw that there was no traffic coming and allow it to carry on,,, an fsd mistake that is sure to be fixed by Tesla. Overall, fsd is very smooth, really awesome, but still makes mistakes, the errors are getting to be fewer though. Thanks for sharing, Cheers!

    More importantly, Tesla cars have more features once you own them than when purchased new. For example, Tesla is waiting on regulatory approval in the US to upgrade the headlights to adaptive ones via over-the-air software updates.
