Blugubrious

Simply put, I am not a gigging musician (anymore). Not a pro either. This channel is for enthusiasts like me. A place for the other guys if that makes sense. I play, write, record, produce and all that when I can, but not a lot. Maybe that will encourage you to do things on your own. Feel free to email questions if you have them. I am a Christian, but that doesn't need to keep us all from digging music together. Anyhow, here is the channel...hope you dig it. I understand if you move on, believe me... I can only stand myself for short periods of time!

    In theory wouldn’t pickups with a flat response be ideal and you could use EQ to get any flavor? I believe this was the original concept with EMG actives but guitarists never adjusted EQ they judged on the sterile flat response without realizing intent. Guitarist can be like dense cavemen.

    @@BlugubriousMusic I don't think that's good either. Fender has changed ownership over the years. Was that under the current ownership? Why did they have a leg to stand on against that shop. @@iancurrie8844 Yes, current leadership. You can look it up... search CGS Fender (that is Mike China Guitar Sceptic who did the video before he passed). The produce was called Win-D-Fender... it literally defended flute players from wind so they can play outside. There were people in the company who had not heard of Fender before the suit. It was a play on Defender. Almost lost their company. Even offered to share profit while they retooled with new name... nope, Fender hired the biggest law firm in the world to help. Smashed a mom and pop company into the ground. About Paul... I actually believe everything effects the tone. BUT and it is a big BUT, I think it is a ridiculous pursuit. I think there are very few players in the world who could ever use any of those differences or nuance in any meaningful musical way. So even if one piece of bone sounds different than another, the music played on either is probably not worth pretending we are that smart over. I take the road that I want to make mediocre gear sound as good as it can. Like an imported affordable guitar.... called an NF3 in this case, but it could be anything. I promise I appreciate this dialog. You sound like you are thinking through things and care about it... wherever we land, that is appreciated by me!

    NF3 Sounds like it has more bass and treble than a single, more body and more balanced with some slight variation in position of pickups. NF3 in other demos still has some sparkly cleans. The fender sounded Strat but with thinner sound and not always balanced between pickups. Fender more twang, quack whereas NF3 had some twang, quack but it was more balanced. NF3 to my ears is between a single and a P90 sound without the hum. It has its own thing.

  • @BlugubriousMusic
    @BlugubriousMusic10 күн бұрын

    I think I agree with that mostly... I would probably not say NF3 has more treble than any singles... including the p90, but you are describing what I sense as I play it. It plays even better now that I have set it up... should have done that first... did not realize how off it was out of the box. Relief, action and nut needed some tweaking, but dialing it in... it is a slinky player for sure.
