thats crazy that tom curren selected this song. i didnt know he was a fan of this type of music
No Tom had nothing to do with picking out this song, I Bobby DuCharme edited this from my wheelchair, but I thought the song went nice with his soulful style. I'm pretty sure Tom would dig it though.
I’m friends with noah
Cool, Noah is an awesome dude. If you see him tell him Bobby DuCharme say's hi.
Jim Little? He taught photography at LCC on O'ahu, I recognize him! It was one of my favorite classes ('92, i think, or '91) and one of only a handful that taught me useful things that i still find helpful to this day! His son is the surfer, Brock Little! I'm so glad to see that he's happy and doing well! Such a wonderful man!
Awesome, glad that this video reminded you of good times with him. Great family man and teacher, for sure.

Sim, eles sao os melhores, obrigado por assistir.
How do you break your neck surfing?
watch the bobby ducharme documentary called, cant keep me down, on this channel.
So beautiful! Great job Bobby!
Couldn't of done it without your help Mom. Thanks for helping me find God because He helps us find our passions in life. Love ya Mom.
Need you back on Tour Nat!
I agree, he shreds hard.
the coolest thing ever is paddeling over a wave and watching Tom Curren do a bottom turn best style ever having said that surfing sure has progressed since the eighties
Yeah, Tom's style is and always will be the style that many generations can learn from. Plus his personality is so cool, humble and soulful, there are other surf hero's like Gerry Lopez, Ronnie Burns, Rob Machado ext, that share those same quality's.
So good! Need more Timmy 🤙🏾
Timmy rocks. I was stoked to have surf clips of him to edit. One of my favs.
Esse cara merececeu um título mundial!!!!!
sim, eu concordo com você
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 sorry my friend, my english is no god . Thank you foi coment . I'm 44 years , o remember TAJ , PARKO, FANNING and ZANE HARRISON ...WERE IS THIS GUY ? (QUESTION) ? .....
Was always pulling for Taj to win it all!
Yes, so talented. He is just as good as anyone today and I'm sure when guys had him in a heat, they were nervous. One of the greatest ever.
aussie right handers to ( from late 90s incubation ) punch up into world class recognition. Good shits to this day. Was any californian had that athletic drive on rights, been overlooked. Keep posting, buticantkeepyoudown -salt of the earth.
Dutch when are we going to Tahiti
Early 2000's footage. Pretty rad.
Yeah, sick clips for sure.
Nice video. It really gives a sense of the location and makes me want to go there.
Yeah Doug, maybe if you're ever in San Diego again, we can meet up and film there together. I know a few secret spots to get some great shots, especially sunsets. That would be so cool. Cheers, Bobby.
Crosby much more stylish
🤮🤙🏾
Thanks for the continual support. I still have tons more surf footage, so more edits coming soon. Bobby D.
Chris Ward rocking the late 90s to 2000s board shorts fer sure lol.
Ha ha, classic. He is still surfing good. old school guy with new school moves. Wardo rips.
Read my mind on the boardshorts just now
One of the sickest airs I've ever seen @ 5:09!
Yeah, insane air. He was flying.
Jordy my SA boy's Alley, dammmm
Jordy rocks. One of the best surfers of all time.
No-leash Wardo! Wow
I think Chris dosn't care to much about winning surf contests, he is a soul surfer who has enough talent to beat anyone. Nice to see him just surfing for fun with no leash. That's why he's fun to watch.
Yeah totally that@@cantkeepmedown-6876 ✌
Первый
Such a good dude
Yes, so thankful to be friends with him. Super humble, generous and cool.
Yooooo thank u!!
Stoked that I found more clips of Bobby. I wish I had more stuff of him, but it's all good. Glad you liked it. Cheers, Bobby D.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 you wouldn’t happen to know anyone who has old footage of Brenden Margieson the Australian would u??
No sorry, if I had footage of Margo, I would have already edited a piece together for KZread and posted it by now. He shreds. @@powercarve125
The man surfs beautifully.
Knox always had that sweet figure eight turn.
Yes sir, one of the best surf styles ever. I would like to see more people these days surf like Taylor.
I actually have one of Taylor's decks. I won it in a raffle at a Channel Islands party. Right after I won it , some guy offered me three grand for it. Didn't take it.
That's cool. Years ago I had one of Rob Machado's old boards, before he rode for Al Merrick and I wish I still had it. I think you did the right thing by not selling Taylor's old board. Some things are just priceless. Cheers, Bobby D.
Bobby we are all blessed to have each other and thank you for inspiring us! God is good and perfect even when this world is not.
Love you my brother. Rad interviews
Heck yeah bro. Love you too. Great friends we have been blessed to know.
👍
@0:41 - the lip climb is a lost maneuver these days. One of the best ones I've seen was 1983
Sometimes the older surf maneuvers are still relevant today. The older surf crew was rooted in power and style, this new generation could learn a bit from the older crew. That;'s my opinion.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 - I just think it's something about hte boards actually. Maybe the thinner (deck to bottom) made it easier to catch the lip right. Or maybe there use to be more tail rocker in the average board. Or just the thinness on the width made it easier to catch the lip right.
Yeah, you're right. When I used to surf in the 90s I had one of Rob Machado's old boards and it had more rocker, it was one of the best I ever rode. Also. Chris Ward can rip on any board. What I liked most about surfing was how many different types of boards you can try. Whatever works best for you, is the right board.@@jeffg4686
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 - I used to ride a 6'10" even on small days - was one of my favorite boards. just well shaped - Loehr
Ripping so hard. Rad video
So cool.
Killer interview Bobby !!!
I was so stoked that Tom let me interview him. It's rare to be able to get him to talk in front of a camera because he is a reserved and quiet guy. His surfing usually does the talking but I was blessed to get some words out of him. That was very special that he did that for me. Big thanks to my friends Bryan Jennings and Matt Beacham for making that interview happen.
vibes high in this vid🤙🏼 and shredding
Stoked you liked it and yes he's shredding. It was fun to edit this piece.
Super rad
Cool, thanks for watching.
Also we are so similar because we are both goofy foot for one and I love making surf edits and always have. Especially matching up the music and the surfing I can get so lost doing it. But also I am trying to become a physical therapist. I work at ripcurl now but today is my last day and I’ve started my new job being an aide at a physical therapy place. So seeing your story makes me want to help as many people as I can and makes me feel so grateful for my life. Thanks for sending the link Bobby, I definitely see life differently after this. I also followed you on Instagram too!
So cool brother. I'm glad that my movie encouraged you. We are on this planet to help each other out and it seems like you know that. Good luck at your new career and I'm sure you will be successful. Keep the positive vibes. Bobby D.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 thanks Bobby
Oh ya Bobby also wanted to ask since I love your style u absolutely ripped. I wanted to ask who your favorite surfers were that you watched
Thanks for the compliment. My family surfed with me a lot. but my favorite pro surfer has always been Tom Curren. He just glides on the waves with style and power. When I was growing up in the 80s we used to watch him at the OP Pro at HB Pier and now me and Tom are friends. You never know what the future holds. Check out my interview with Tom in San Clemente. kzread.info/dash/bejne/g6aTzJp-cbjOaco.htmlsi=MdVJzr2likwLFF3W
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 oh sweet I’ll watch right now. That’s awesome. Tom definitely changed shortboarding. I know Kelly’s favorite was Curren but heard Andy’s was also so you can’t go wrong watching Tom
Awesome watch bro. You are really inspirational I’m glad I watched this n learnt about u maan. Love your vids
Hey I can’t find the vid I commented on can I see the surf video about you again?
Yeah sorry I was having issues with my computer. Here's the link to my movie again. kzread.info/dash/bejne/e66HqtZ8Z83bmMY.htmlsi=qbpSFGfqcCC_WISc
These guys rock.
Yeah, two of the best pros from Tahiti.
How he can surf a v-bottom shortboard in those small waves is amazing.
Tom's the best.
Speed-Power-Flow
Amen to that bro. Tom Curren will always be at the top of the list as one of the best surfers of all time.
Love it!
Shreddddding!
More Bobby footage plz
I will see what I can dig up. I think I have some older clips of Bobby at the U.S. Open at HB Pier.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 no way! I’ve been trying to find any footage of him surfing small waves in a comp or in general. That would be awesome if you can find. I surf Huntington every day so it’s cool to see my favorite surfers in small waves
Yeah cool, I'll start looking for those clips. Bobby was ripping it up. Check it out in a few weeks, it should be uploaded by then.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 thanks so much I really appreciate it
Seabass!
Best style
Epic Seabass footage
Hi Jesse, my friend Chris Gabriel is pals with Pete Frieden and they let me edit the collection of all of Pete's surf clips from 2007 through 2017. I'm thankful to be the guy who gets to edit little surf parts from Pete's trips from all over the world. I will be posting more and stoked that you are watching my channel. Cheers brother and keep shredding, Bobby DuCharme.
Great video, such an inspiration! Good work in all you do, surfing & editing. TDK was my first shortboard I bought!
Thanks for the encouraging words. I'm glad that you liked the movie. my friends Jesse and Bryan produced the documentary and I'm honored that they took the time to make that movie, so I could tell my story. Also TDK rules. Bobby D.
@@cantkeepmedown-6876 did they also do the Changes video? I remember someone giving that to me back in the day. I watched it so much.
Yes, Changes was made by my friends at Walking on water. Ed and Bryan.
Man this reminds me of my youth. From 13 to 21 all i did was surf all day and skate all night. It was heaven on Earth! Then the soul sucking adulthood took over and now I exist just to help others because my life is over. Great video man, reminds me of another life.
Cool, I can totally relate with you. Glad that I could remind you of the good times. Only a surfer knows the feeling. Cheers Bobby.
