  id like to see how much dunnage and time it took to get the crane to that elevation? and a video of it if possible. or was the crane lifted up to that elevation by another crane to save time??

Ich bin Kranführer und habe mehr als zwei Jahre im Libanon als Kranführer gearbeitet, ich glaube, dass ich in diesem Bereich viel gelernt habe.   Stayed in Zams for a week back in 68/69. Befriended many local folks in the basement pub. Nobody spoke English and we didn't speak German, but it didn't matter ! lol. The townsfolk even threw us a little party the night before we left. Erica!!! Where are you? Hans Heil, where are you? Or maybe it was the Gasthoff, not sure.

  personnely i dont think its a problem rigging like this. clearly done by proffesionals. felbermayer are a mager austrian heavy crane and transport group. theyre around a long time and this is an example of their can do attitude. no job is immpossible to them. im a crane driver and this is something to learn from and respect. well done felbermayer rigging crew.

  If it were here in my sad Brazil , would suffice a single politician to do all the work . They get away with a million overnight . Imagine what it would not do this work .

  Also in dem Kran der so hoch aufgebockt ist wäre mir aber dann doch mulmig. Anstatt man da eine andere, nicht so komplizierte Lösung findet, nee da baut man dann lieber solche Holztürme wie bei Jenga und betet das alles stehenbleibt wo es soll.

  Denkst du ernsthaft die hoffen und beten dass das stehenbleibt? Dahinter steckt planung, überlegung und geschick der kranfahrer...das wurde nicht einfach auf gut glück so zusammengewürfelt...ausserdem wie will man das sonst machen?

  When did the Germans, who used to do everything by the book start doing projects like third world nationals? If one small forklift was used to slide one end inside the building, two slightly larger forklifts could have did the job for a lot less than two cranes and a forklift. Really Germany, what happened to you? Selling out to the Russians, your mortal enemy for the 20th Century for money.

  H&S would have a field day if they saw a UK company doing this! Very impressive and ingenious solution to a tricky problem.
