Welcome to my channel! This is a channel focused on psychology related topics. Content includes various lectures on psychology, neuroscience, and writing.
Hey man, I know it's a long shot since you've uploaded these videos years ago but I was just wondering. What ever happened to parts 8 and 9? These videos have helped me a lot with my studies.
@ProfVallejo26 күн бұрын
Unfortunately, Ch. 8 & Ch. 9 was never completed and will likely will not be. However, I do have planned content on short videos on these topics as well as topics that would have been covered in Ch. 8 & Ch. 9 in the future. I'm sorry. Though I am happy to hear that the videos have been helpful.

This is not how fast you are supposed to speak to conduct a digit span test. It is supposed to be one second between every number which is what tests the working memory because the longer the string of digits the longer you have to hold them in your mind for

I don't understand how this only has 7 likes, I hope it didn't intimidate you. Thank you so much, I'm preparing for university entrance exams and haven't been able to move on from the history for months, this is a lifesaver as a foundation for additional information. Again, thank you for your work. PS: 11:17 there's a (verbal) typo - I think you meant "pleasant" at first, you said "unpleasant" twice with emphasis and it's even in the captions. Could confuse a lot of people. :D

My digit span is 6. I got 6 in order, and 8 partially out of order. When I was a fry cook, I could remember over twenty numbers and repeat them back in order. I guess need and stress level had something to do with it.

Wow, I got a 10...I'm surprised. What I'm noticing is that I'm doing it "by sound": the *sound* of what he's saying echoes in my mind and I'm able to reproduce the sound up to (at least) 10 digits. I'm not picturing the numbers, or even thinking in terms of numbers (or words)...just sounds. Maybe this means I'm more auditory-oriented.

I wish I could have had you as my professor, sir. I unfortunately have to report my professor for ableist comments and denying of my accommodations (I ended up throwing up a little during class since I couldn’t go get my medication, since I would not get the credit for being at the seminar). However the exam is this Monday, I am using these lectures to reteach myself everything (with added other videos to cover the whole curriculum). Wish me luck!
