Love y'all ⚡⚡⚡
right back at ya!
thanks this was really helpful!
so glad you found it helpful!
You guys are great. Highly entertaining and insightful. Learned a few things and laughed.
thank you! we had a blast talking with Jessica after all the tech issues sorted out!
Very helpful thank you 😊
This was so helpful!! The idea of an agent doesn’t feel so scary anymore and actually sounds like a good idea for me with 5 kids at home.
You've got your hands full, an agent might be really helpful for you!
Such a cute animals >.<❤
I watched a KZread video interview with Prince where he stated (paraphrasing) that a work of art is valid once the artist completes it. Public acclaim, popularity and media hype do not make the art valid.
Good for you Honey 😊
Totally agree 👍
loving this vid... unfortunatly... the link is no longer working
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! We've updated the link above, but here it is, just in case 🙌 goodtype.us/builder
What in the actual fuck is this video about 😂
the designers who get it, get it?! As Designers use a ton of keyboard shortcuts but then when we can't remember how to get to the tool without the shortcut ;)
How can I contact you I have a few questions to ask?
I needed this info thank you so much
so glad it's helpful!
Is it good to get an art agent?
Hi! It depends on your situation! We had a conversation with an art agent in another podcast episode that you can watch here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/a6CopNenp7KzidI.html&ab_channel=Goodtype Hope this helps! ❤
🙌🔥🧠❤ It was a pleasure to be part of this. Thanks for having us!
pleasure to have you!
I LIKE KAT ⚡⚡⚡
I have this little issue that at first, I didn’t know what having a business entailed, so I just started buying stuff with my personal cards and not tracking it… Im still doing that but only because my DBA is taking to dang long and I need it to get a business bank account XD
Waiting for paperwork to get filed can be frustrating but you're moving in the right direction!
🧠Thank You, for info.
Very interesting podcast
I'm new to this but i was wondering if this is similar to print on demand? 🤔
This is different from print on demand. With print on demand you're not transferring any rights, just using a service to create the product.
@@Goodtype Oh i see! Yeah that makes sense, thanks!
Does my portfolio need to be my website? Can it be a pdf or links to my work?
We definitely recommend a website because it'll be searchable and accessible. You'll also be able to put your most recent work on your website so people can check it out to see if you've added new work. A PDF is great for a pitch deck, but I'd also include a link to your website on the last page.

You don’t even show anyone a tax form. Lame.
The content here is to help you gain a better understanding of tax terms. You can seek help from a local professional for unique support - they will know which forms you need depending on your state and business structure.
I'm really upset because not every client is interested in Anime and Manga.
that means you've got a niche, which is great! No client is looking for everything, so being able to figure out your market and style is really helpful in identifying the right clients!
Thank you! This is helpful.
Very helpful
Want to open an art studio for kids. Can you tell me what do I need in order to open business with kids...
Congrats! You definitely want to set up the EIN and business entity, but since we're not in the children's market there may be additional registrations or insurance that you'll need. I suggest talking to your a local small business advisor or attorney to get more info for your state.
Cant listen to someone who croakes the last word of every sentence. Its an extremely annoying affectation - mainly used by American women. Bit sad as well.
Hi just wanted to give a really honest feedback. I follow your podcast because of the area of interest but pls keep the noise to the minimum. If I wanted a comedy show I would have been on that channel. This episode started well cos of the guest but I stopped when it became about your hats and high school achievements..etc let the poor guy talk!! Every episode is getting 5 mins of info after listening to 45 mins of crap. Pls stop. Don’t want to unfollow your podcast. Just a honest review . ❤
Another great episode!
😂😂😂😂🎉🎉
So much great information I will be watching this many times I'm sure. Checking out your other info.
so glad you found it useful!
Lovely talk! ❤️
When you pitch your art to creative directors, what does your contract generally end up looking like? Any advice about the contact?
we actually have contract templates! We worked with our lawyer to create these and made them plug and play so you don't have to try and piece together a confusing document! goodtype.us/contract-kit
@@Goodtype thank you very much!
This may be a weird question….but do you still do outreach even if you are represented by an agent? TIA 😄❤️
If you have an agent, they'll be handling that! However it's always a good idea to make connections, and you can let your agent know if there's a brand you really want to work with!
Thank you for this three part series❤❤
so glad you enjoyed it!
Your conversations for art work very interesting
2:31 totally could’ve edited that out 😪
If I wanted to get into the decorative market, would I need an agent or a dealer? Or are they basically the same?
When you say decorative market, are you talking about home decor? That would be a licensing agent who could help with that, or you could go without the agent and do outreach to decor companies by yourself!
@Goodtype Yes, that is what I meant. Thank you for the reply! Love the podcast!
Happy to discover your channel, you are inspiring
So glad you like it!!
Hey team! Love this video, such a good chat! What was the book you mentioned about Likeability?!
Thank you! I went through my goodreads and I believe it was "Launch" by Jeff Walker. It was a short section in a larger business book - but a great book if you're looking to learn more about sales! I'm sure there's a bunch of books specifically on the topic too.
thanks for this info!
Sure thing! Glad it helped!
I love you Goodtype youre my mom now!
happy to be your art biz mom!!!
I had a blast. You are the best!!!❤
Excuse me but I have an llc and I was confused on what type of business art licensing is…
thank you!!
Thank you very much! This was very helpful <3
How are there no comments on this 😭 The intro and pure chaos of this conversation are 10/10 👏
its interesting to hear a working artist be okay with the theft of their peer's work because they just use it as a tool. and to dismiss the legality and ethical dilemma of AI companies as simple a disagreement or different approach. perhaps Amber would be willing to make all her working files available for download so anyone can use them?
Really great video and great information.
