I am truly honored by your group effort to sing and play this beautiful hymn of worship to our wonderful Lord Jesus (Yeshua). It is by far the most beautiful and heartfelt version i have heard so far and it brought me to tears. Many blessings you you all and your families in our wonderful Messiah. Shalom! 🙏❤️😊🕊

Of course the piece was originally for piano, but maybe this version is based on the orchestral version by Ravel? Slightly misleading description, probably not intentionally so.

I came to know Marcel Dupré music 55 years ago, as a singer in a church with a "Cavailler Colle" organ, only 21 stops, but what an instrument. The organist played some Dupré piece, I'm not sure what, and we listened to recordings of Dupré from Paris. Since then I have stopped whenever I see the name Dupré.

Lovely performance. I think my favorite to follow with the score. Authentic to hear it with a parish choir. Great organ, too.
This work by John Stainer remains my favorite. i give it to the bass voice for a good interpretation. the Tenor is `good too. I am a baritone voice who performed this work for about 30 years now with outstanding performance and I must say this performance is outstanding. a very good chorus. Kudos! can i have the email contact of the Music Director?

As a soprano in my local church choir I sang this on several Good Friday evenings during the late 50's and early 60's. before leaving the choir after my voice broke. I can still remember it quite well now but in the early 2000's I had the opportunity to sing it again with two local choirs and had to totally re-learn it as a Bass. I've sung a lot of sacred music in my life but this will always be at the top of my list.
