    Thanks for the feedback. I have owned over 50 cars over the years including many German and British ones. I am currently driving a Tesla which has been great over the past 3 years, but when I bought mine they were fairly rare where I live here in Canada, but now they are EVERYWHERE. I feel that I am driving a Widget and as a car guy, I don't like that. I am considering the F-Pace as my next car. I will probably go for the P400 as the premium gas prices here are now pushing $8 CDN per gallon. Looking forward to getting back into a luxury ride.

    Yeah I mean lot of reviews on the performance aspects which are great; but what is it like to own. I got 16k miles on it, so far so good. Did have the battery replaced which was free and no biggie. I put Michelin ps4s tires on which are light years better than the Pirelli summer ones. The breaks can squeal a bit but that is a common complaint with these. Otherwise no issues.

    Still have it. It’s been reliable but I’ve only got 15k miles. It had the front knuckles replaced there was some bad factory batch. Still fun to drive, tech works great, still looks great, etc. shockingly fast especially past 60mph, it has a lot of pull where I think others lose some oomph. I think the ride quality is strange though, it can be harsh in comfort over larger bumps, where sport is actually more comfortable.

If reliability isnt horrible id love one. Ive heard a ton abt the germans being crazy unreliable, and id rly like a performance SUV. this checks all my boxes. what u think?

    Regarding exhaust. Put ignition on before starting, press exhaust button to on, then disconnect the the leads from solenoid by the rear mufflers. This then keeps the exhaust valves fully open permanently and stops them shutting off when on overrun etc enabling reinstalling the pops and bangs from the previous generation SVR. The valves on the new Svr still shut off emissions even with the loud exhaust button on. Easy fix no need to pay for aftermarket exhaust’s.

    I think the car is epic,has everything you can possibly want and for better looks than german counterparts better price,better optioned,no fancy air suspension that can break. And if you bought it from 2 3 years ago with low mileage you get a masterpiece.

    Jag used to be one of my dream cars. Sad, Jag lost it's way. I've seen both models of this body style on the road, looks like a Nissan Rogue, Hyundai and every other crossover. What a waste of a good opportunity to stand out. Too bad Jag makes toys now instead of Luxury vehicles. As far as the stock exhaust goes, it's ok. Too tinney sounding for me. Not a fan of the body style at all.

    Can't agree more, I got the same model as you and have been driving it for 7 months. Also want to add some points from my experience. 1. I really don't like how they designed the rear bumper, it looks too simple and too cheap to be an SVR, the rear bumper on P400 looks much better than this. 2. This is a heavy car, it should equip with bigger brakes. 3. The sound system compare to his comparators is terrible ( B&O, Burmester), The treble is not clear and the bass is sloppy. *4*.Shopping is a pain for me because the SVR model doesn't have the foot kick to open the tailgate, and the tailgate doesn't have a close and lock button. So when I came to the car with my daily necessities in both hands, I needed to put down the bag and then open the tailgate. After I went home and took out the goods, I closed the tailgate first and then walked to the side of the car to lock the car or take out the key to lock it. 5. The headlight is dim, however, the pixel LED headlight is not available in North America. 6. the ambient light is boring, too light and the lower foot area only has white colour, why? 7. It's hard to believe that in 2021, Jaguar still doesn't have lane centring feature, very unfriendly for lone distance driving.

    I have a 2019 SVR. Agree about the seat, I start to fidget after a couple of hours. I have proper buttons on the steering wheel, those new ones look bad. I have the red leather seats and trim, I think it looks really great, way better than your grey non-leather ones. The supercharged engine sets it above the six cylinder and twin turbo V8 competitors, sounds way better, and has instant throttle response. As you say, every drive creates a smile. I love it.

    When you spec the car yourself you can select reclining seats and rear-seat release levers, they’re actually really cheap too so not sure why they aren’t standard. I’m guessing you bought this pre-built… the dealer didn’t tick all the boxes you maybe would have. Sorry - I’m partly wrong, the power recline isn’t available, but the release levers are. You have the gap behind the seats since recline is available on the standard car. My guess is the race-style seats means that some of the side or shoulder bolsters might rub and burn the motor out… style over substance maybe?

    You drive an SVR in eco???? I have a new P400 and it’s brilliant. The ride is amazing. But I really don’t see driving a Jag in eco.

  • @scharnscharnhorst7626
    @scharnscharnhorst76262 жыл бұрын

    I do select eco occasionally. Comfort is fine most of the time, but in more congested city street driving the programing for the transmission and throttle response are a bit too much. The car wants to move quickly and as it goes through higher revs beyond +2500 and then over 3k, it really picks up... that is great I love the sound and it's fun; but what the car doesn't realize is i'm stopping again in 100ft because of a traffic light or another car. And now because it has picked up speed, you need to slow down quicker. Eco is more tame for that kind of driving environment.

I noticed at low speeds turning left or right I could hear a slight pop sound like i had a rock in my tread, turned out bad wheel bearings/knuckles. They replaced both and no problems since (apparently a TSB for that so they knew immediately)

    I’m waiting for my svr, just got in before the tech crunch with a week 51 build date. I chose every option incl svo paint - the rear seat release levers in trunk are optional. Also the rear seats in regular f pace recline, hence the trunk trim cutouts. I’ve had the AJV8 in my F-Type R since new in 16, when I needed a dad wagon for the newborn, there was no other option, that engine in a sea of neutered opf turbo v8’s and hybrids/ev’s needs to be enjoyed while it’s still around. It just lacked some edge... something to put it over the top. Now that Golf R... I do miss that one. I would have loved to keep it if I could juggle cars around.
