What tires are you riding? I'm over by Tampa so I ride alafia and balm a lot, but I'm looking to swap them out a little.
I’ve been going through some different tires lately! What I have come up with is maxxis Rekon for all Florida riding. Then I switch to Asagai front and Dissector on the rear. The light weight and faster rolling of the Rekon are better for Florida trails
Not in Miami, Miami's trails suck; this corrupt politicians use the money for every thing but our trails. Virginia Key sucks , Amelia is horrible and Oletta is a joke.
do they have blue trails there that you can progress to after this one? Or are they too advance?
For sure. The blu trail to ride after that is called Tumbleweed, then strange beast, then bark buster. The blacks are very difficult. But they do have go arounds. So you can at least check them out!🤘🏻
@@kfivemtb thank you so much!
Sounds like the brakes rubbing, but I guess it was your hub? Grease it my man
It’s a profile hub. They are noisy 😃 hikers always know when I’m coming down trails, and are already standing to the side when I get to them.
ill be in brevard next week thu-tues coming from florida, to do the typical dupont pisgah rides. but i might give this one a shot! thank you so much for the video!. since its only open on fri sat sun. this video it looks empty! is there any better day than the other in terms of crowds? or go when they open etc.
Fridays are the slowest days. I went Friday and Sunday this trip. It busiest from 11am-2pm. The place is very quiet from 3pm-close. It’s so fun there! Hope you like it
Awesome. Looks similar to Ridgeline but with more berms?
Very similar to ridgeline, just no people or horses coming up😜
Sure, its a more mellow grade. Great for beginners. I dig Evergreen more. It might not be as green as Green River.
The only thing I don’t love about evergreen is the down time. To much flatness!!! Green river you can go all the way down without peddling if you choose to😃. Hey Ben😜
Rock Creek is the best!
Next time we’ll get some follow cam of you schralping those berms!!!!🤘🏻
Thanks Ken,, I didn’t know about Rock Creek till your video. I visited Kanuga last fall but the climb bout killed this Florida boy. Heading up there in a few weeks and I really like the idea of that shuttle service 🤘
I love Kanuga, but sometimes it’s just nice to get a ride up! I also think the green trail at ride rock creek is better than the green at Kanuga. Let me know how you like it. Thanks for watching 😃
love the camera view of the trail! i had to change my view settings in KZread to 1440, as soon as i did that, the trail really came to life. thanks for posting i will be visiting rock creek in October i can't wait.
Its like KZread defaults your viewing to 720!!! You have to manually change to 1440 or higher to get the best quality 🌿
Makes me want to take a trip to Rock Creek ~ I like the rear tire view changeup throughout the trail!
You would love the green trail! Also the cows in the parking lot. Bring a cooler with healthy snacks and plenty of drinks and make a day out of it🌿
first! You had the park to yourself! Looks like a beautiful day! Can you pet the cows? 😂 Green River looks fun ~ not too intimidating for a downhill park. Love to see some footage of your favorite blue trail there 🐮
If they are close to the fence you can! But don’t try to milk them😜😜😜😜
Nice one Ken! I have always filmed on a chin mount set up. The set up I have now has th camera below the making it close to the chin mount location. Great to see you on the tube again 🤙🏼
Thanks for checking in. I’m happy with the chin mount… but I think I like the chesty view a little better. 😃
Great video. Ridgeline at Boyette is, in my opinion, the best single track trail segment in the state. 1.8 mile option that is guaranteed to test your fitness and tell you where it stacks. I can't think of another trail that can do that...maybe Moonscape, before it was made to be a flow track or jump line, or Rollercoaster which is always a fun rip. Twisted Sister is a great segment, as is Magic Island, but I like to categorize that in to "North Creek with the hard options". I saw Gun Range at Markham in the comments, which is super fun, and Graham Swamp is a fun loop too...Santos has a ton of fun loops, like Vortex or Nayles, but I don't think anything gets the HR going like Ridgeline. Also, it only used to open twice a year but Hailes Trails is a good one.
You are spot on! I love ridgeline. Ride it a few times back to back on a pedal back and you’ll be whipped. I do think my favorite trail in Florida is Gatorback at Alafia. Although it’s short has tons packed in to it!!!🤘🏻
@@kfivemtb yea, years ago that was the most technical trail Alafia had, and was guaranteed to put you to the test. It’s evolved a lot over the years. 🤘
Your Mom at Carter Road
Great choice!
Grape fruit trails Palm Bay fl
Yup! Such a great place
I love the real world language! Censorship is tyranny.
Nice one mate 🤘
Thanks ✌
Great content. May i suggest one thing... maybe blur out the license plate info so no one can be a deviant and get your personal information.
Hopefully you’re not a deviant 😜 thanks so much hopefully be making some new videos soon.
@@kfivemtb Only a deviant for the ladies 😅😜. Looking forward to the new content, it's great seeing someone getting FL mtb on the map!
You hitting moto jump?
I tried once cased the crap out of it! But it was wet and soft , and with my old wheels. I’m gonna hit it soon 😃
You got this i promise.
It sure look like I do, it’s stepped up a little more than it looks. I’ve crashed on that so many times Now it’s all mental😃
You had that easy.
that was soooo smooth bro
Nice work!
Thanks for the tips, might try the 165mm I have a lot of pedal strikes at Turkey Creek. Do you still ride Grapefruit?
Yup ride both all the time! Do it! It’s the best thing you could ever do. It’s amazing how much difference it makes
@@kfivemtb Thanks, I am going to try it. If you see an old guy at Turkey Creek on a Giant Trance say hi
How are you enjoying the bike one year in?
I love it!
The trail at 12:45 is ranger
Gun Range at Markham... Ern and Burn west of Santos...
Grape fruit
If you like jumping it’s for sure the best!!!!
John Brown, ant hill, and raddle snake
Love. John Brown!😃
Vortex is cool too
Funny how different places have different expectations like here in New England we don't even rate lots of the trails unless maybe on TF but it's not marked ... And it's definitely often more intense that anything in Florida but I did have fun at Santos even so
Really great video. I’ve been there a couple of times. I ride almost every morning but my choice of trails is not overly difficult having gotten a knee replacement recently. Thanks for the vid.
😃🤘🏻
🍊🤙
Yup
Mount dora, 5 miles, of actual mountain
Great trail system, awesome downtown area as well😃🤘🏻
Balm Boyette, and Alafia river are good
They are excellent 🤘🏻😃
Moonscape Alafia.
Such a good trail! Recently been improved as well!!🤘🏻
Yo momma at Markham
That’s definitely up there!!!
Definitely Top 5, imo too.🤙, 😎
Grapefruit bike trails in Palm Bay is a lot of fun if you haven’t tried it I’d recommend checking it out
I’ve been there a few times 😜
I just received my Bronson, the exact same as you. Your video was the first review I watched btw. I still have to get used to the front big wheel, because I feel like the bike is much bigger than my old one, but on the first ride it felt really good.
Right on!
This guy is just living life. I love the commentary and the personality. I just picked up a ‘22 Bronson R, being shipped now can’t wait to hop on it!
Hope you’re liking your Bronson, I can’t get off mine🤘🏻
Hope you’re liking your Bronson, I can’t get off mine 🤘🏻
shesh so crispy i wonder if the speedone sniper is louder than this with a power spring🧐
No idea what you’re talking about 😜😜😜
What i mean about speedone is a brand and sniper is a model of the hub,It's a hub made from taiwan check that out brother it's a ratchet type😊
I just bought one! Hello, from Boise Idaho.
I’m still loving mine!!!!🤘🏻
Alligator Alley @ Markham park might be my #1
Whats louder compare to i9 hydra?
Profile is a little louder!
Most technical Loyce E. Harpe Park former Carter Rd.
For sure!!!!
ok brother.. unfortunately i live here in central florida and the trails here are crappy far and not worth driving the distance to risk falling and ending up in a gators mouth its just nonsensical to be in this type of environment ... this is what i call a ride this would be worth driving to kzread.info/dash/bejne/g3mB2aiDdbi8mrA.html not the wack mickey mouse trails we have here in florida
Hi there, what hubs you have ?
Profile elite I a touch less engagement than the I 9 hydra. But I think the profile is better quality
